You have to do a proposal to get the contract to renovate a single family home.
Floor plan of the house is provided
the house contains:
- 2 toilets
- 3 bedrooms
- 1 living room
- 1 dining room
- 1 kitchen
You are asked to choose one of the tiles below to fix on the floor in every room, toilet, kitchen, dining room and
living room. You will win the contract if you offer the lowest cost in this proposal.
**Only one type of the tile can be used in one area.

1. Compile the first term examination marks of your class for the subject of Mathematics and Science. (The
marks can be obtained from the subject teachers).
2. Determine mean, mode, median of the marks for both subjects.
3. Tabulate the data in a frequency table by grade.

4. Compare and comment on the performances of the students in these 2 subjects. You may use the graphic
method to present the data.
5. Determine the percentages of students who scored distinctions (A) in both subjects / OR determine the
percentages of students who scored less than 30 marks in both subjects. Comment on your findings.
6. If a school would like to give certificates of achievement to the students who scored at least B' and above in
both subjects, how many students will receive the certificates?
OR
If a school would like to give free tuition class to students who failed in both subjects, how many students arE
required to attend the tuition class?
