Abstract
T"is researc" aimed to reconstruct t"e traces o# literar$ per#ormance o# 'idor
Sentulan associated %it" t"e !alues o# c"aracter education and enric"ed t"e stud$ o#
et"noponetics in Indonesia. T"e people&s li#e in Jomang, 'idor Sentulan %as a literar$
per#ormance %"ic" %as eing t"e spirit o# t"e tradition. T"us, t"is literar$ per#ormance %as a
tradition t"at s"ould e preser!ed.
T"is researc" used et"noponetics anal$sis model $ Luc 'erman and (art )er!aeck.
T"e #orm o# stage per#ormance 'idor Sentulan %as anal$*ed +ualitati!el$. T"e data source o#
t"is researc" %as t"e poetic narrati!e in t"e stage per#ormance o# 'idor Sentulan in Jomang.
Result , t"e result o# t"is stud$ %ere as #ollo%s- ./0 representation o# t"e !alue o#
c"aracter education on poetic narrati!e contained religious, tolerance, "ard %ork, re%ard
ac"ie!ement, #riends"ip and rot"er"ood, and care #or t"e social en!ironment. T"e result o#
t"e stud$ also rings to t"e understanding on t"e not #unction onl$. 1oreo!er, t"e results o#
t"is stud$ researc" as re#lection local %isdom, in e!er$ #orm, %as not onl$ constructed as t"e
entertainment ut also %ort" and "ad a social #unction, ideological, and religious. (e"ind it
all, 'idor Sentulan %as a #orm o# literar$ per#ormances t"at recording conditions, attitude to
li#e, relations"ip et%een man and man and also %it" God, as %ell as a depiction o# t"e
eaut$ and goodness against !ice and crime.
