Welcome to your new Vodafone Offce Hub. Your pack should contain
the items pictured below. These instructions show you how to connect
telephones and the telephone line to the system so you can make and
receive calls.
They also show how to connect to the Internet over your DSL Line so you
can browse the web, use email or even make telephone calls over the
Internet.

Step 1:Connect your telephone&lines

A) Plug the System Console into the socket marked EXT 20 at the
back of the Vodafone Offce Hub. If you have other system
phones and/or analogue phones plug these into the remaining
sockets ( EXT 21-23)
B) Plug the Line Cable (grey) into the Line 1 socket on the back of
the Vodafone Offce Hub
C) Fit the Cable cover over these
connections

If you have a second PSTN line
provided you can connect the
second line cable (grey) to the
LIne 2 Socket on the back of the
Vodafone Offce Hub

D) Plug the other end of the Line Cable (grey) into the phone
connector of the ADSL splitter supplied. Plug the splitter into
the wall telephone outlet.
E) Plug the other end of the ADSL cable (violet) into the ADSL socket on
the back of the Vodafone Offce Hub

Plug one end of the DSL cable (violet) into the ADSL Modem
connector of the splitter illustrated below

F) Connect the Power Supply Unit to the Vodafone Offce Hub and the
connect to mains power outlet.
Wait approximately one minute for the system to initialise.
You can now make telephone calls
G) It may take several minutes for the DSL to synchronise. Your
Vodafone Offce Hub is ready to browse the Internet once the
DSL LED has gone solid green with an occasional ficker, and the
Internet LED is solid or fashing green.
H) If required, you can now set up and register DECT handsets in
accordance with the separate instructions provided

B) Open a browser such as internet explorer or Firefox on your PC
Step 2: Connect to the Internet
A) Connect the LAN cable (yellow) to one of the ports at the back of of
your computer, and the other end into one of the LAN ports of the
Vodafone Offce Hub
Note: If you have a wireless network card you can skip Step A and
connect wirelesly - go straight to Step B

C) Enter the Vodafone Offce Hub Management Application by inserting
http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar

D) You will be prompted for a user name and password. Enter Username
(admin) and Password (admin)
Note:
If this screen does not appear, check your
PC settings for automatically obtaining
an IP address or ensure that the PROXY
server setting is turned OFF.
Refer to Appendix E in Owners Manual on
the Documentation CD).
Usint the Vodafone Offce Hub web interface tool -allows you to program your
Vodafone Offce Hub and allows you to access PABX and Router Confguration

E) To edit any of the default PABX Confguration settings select PABX
Confguration fromt he left handside of the screen
The Vodafone Offce hub has many different programmable options you may
wish to change to meet your personal requirements. Please see the Users Guide
for detailed information regarding each setting

To confgure your PC to work with the Vodafone Offce Hub, open the PCs
setup utility for wireless network. Select the network name (SSID) and enter
the encryption key.
The Network Name (SSID) is in the format vodafone PBX.
The WPA encryption key is in the format xxxxxxxx.
Your Vodafone Offce Hub is delivered with WLAN activated. Each has a service
set identifer (SSID) and a unique encryption key. These unique numbers can
be found on a label on the side of the Vodafone Offce Hub
Step 3: Connecting Computers Wirelessly
Note: If you wish to have any of your phones located away from the Vodafone
Offce Hub please see the Owners Manual for cabling instructions.
Note: Voice features can be programmed using the System Console on
extension 20. For instructions refer to Appendix C in the Owners Manual on the
Documentation CD. They are also programmable from the user interface.

A) Vodafone Offce Hub: Status Identifcation
Your Vodafone Offce Hub has a status indicator which displays a series of
light to help you see if all the connections are correctly installed

Note: If the Power led fashes red, it means Vodafone Offce Hub is in DECT
registration mode.
B) Phone Quick Reference Guide
Use this to get the most from the telephone features of your Vodafone Offce
Hub.
For example, you can use your Vodafone Offce Hub to take messages when
you are not available to answer your phone. (Voicemail).
C) Owners Manual
The Owners Manual is contained in the Documentation CD. Use it to learn
how to access the advanced capabilities of your Vodafone Offce Hub. For
example, you can connect your PC to the Vodafone Offce Hub LAN without
needing to have them connected via a cable. (Wireless LAN). You can also use
your Vodafone Offce Hub to make calls over the Internet. (VoIP).
