Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder characterized by immoderate food restriction,

inappropriate eating habits or rituals, obsession with having a thin figure, and an irrational fear
of weight gain, as well as a distorted body self-perception. It typically involves excessive weight
loss and is diagnosed approximately nine times more often in females than in males.
[1]
Due to
their fear of gaining weight, individuals with this disorder restrict the amount of food they
consume. Outside of medical literature, the termsanorexia nervosa and anorexia are often used
interchangeably; however, anorexia is simply a medical term for lack of appetite, and the
majority of individuals afflicted with anorexia nervosa do not, in fact, lose their
appetites.
[2]
Patients with anorexia nervosa often experience dizziness, headaches,
drowsiness, fever, and a lack of energy. To counteract these side effects, particularly the latter,
individuals with anorexia may engage in other harmful behaviors, such as smoking,
excessive caffeine consumption, and excessive use of diet pills, along with an increased exercise
regimen. (Of course, side effects such as fever or headaches may be treated with other, non-diet
medication, such as acetaminophen and ibuprofen.)

Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder characterized by binge eating and purging, or consuming
a large amount of food in a short amount of time followed by an attempt to rid him or herself of
the food consumed (purging), typically by vomiting, taking a laxative, diuretic, or stimulant,
and/or excessive exercise, because of an extensive concern for body weight.

Ecologists are concerned with ecosystems as a whole, the abundance and distribution of
organisms (people, plants, animals), and the relationships between organisms and their
environment
A meteorologist is a scientist who studies weather; and may, like a weather presenter (who often
are not scientists) engage in weather forecasting, or may solely conduct research.
A petrologist is a professional who has specialised in a branch of geology that involves the
comprehensive study of rocks, and the conditions in which rocks form. This field also entails the
study of the origin and structure of rocks.
A biologist, or biological scientist, is a scientist who studies living organisms, often in the
context of their environment. Biologists involved in fundamental research attempt to explore and
further explain the underlying mechanisms that govern the functioning of organisms.
A paleontologist is a scientist who studies paleontology, learning about the forms of life that
existed in former geologic periods, chiefly by studying fossils.
A chemist is a scientist trained in the study of chemistry. Chemists study the composition of
matter and its properties.
Astronomer is a scientist who studies celestial bodies such as black holes, moons, planets, stars,
nebulae, and galaxies, as well as Gamma-ray bursts and cosmic microwave background
radiation.
Geneticist is a biologist who studies genetics, the science of genes, heredity, and variation of
organisms. A geneticist can be employed as a researcher or lecturer. Some geneticists perform
experiments and analyze data to interpret the inheritance of skills.
Geologist is a scientist who studies the solid and liquid matter that constitutes the Earth as well
as the processes and history that have shaped it. Geologists usually engage in studying geology.
Biotechnologists are scientists who study and work with micro-organisms in a variety of areas
including alcohol manufacture, agricultural genome mapping and medical science.
Superstition is the belief in supernatural causalitythat one event leads to the cause of another
without any natural process linking the two eventssuch as astrology, religion, omens,
