The Voyage Dans La Lune is a magical trip into the imagination and takes
us on a beautiful dream like journey. This film is a master piece in both
its creativity and its adorable acting. Whilst watching it you can see how
the early style of acting was quite unique with the theatrically trained
actors.
in the process, stumbled across such crucial narrative devices as the
fade and the lap dissolve, as well as such effects as the matte, double-
exposure and stop-motion - all of which he created in-camera. (Fig 1)
We see a childrens school play style of acting, where every movement,
action and interaction work effectively with its goofy but captivating
story.
This film has done so much for the film industry but now has become a bit simple to modern views. This should
never take away from the importance of this film to the industry
and should always be a watched by any true film infuses
But mostly, its because Le Voyage Dans La Lune is the
cornerstone for your entire movie collection. (Fig 2)
The story of this film may appear simple but has such a
simple beauty which can be slightly hypnotic and make you
feel like youre in a dream the
light-hearted satire criticizing the conservative scientific
community of its time, was inspired by Jules Verne's From the
Earth to the Moon (1865) and H. G. Wells' First Men in the Moon
(1901). (Fig 3)
Goerge Melies has been the crucial part of the industry. His
cinematic effects that he invented and brought to the screen he
completely kicked off the special effects industry and has been the
touch stone off all modern movie magic this is why this film is so
highly held as a piece of true human imagination and history
