TEVSAPHIL or the TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS AND ASSOCIATIONS OF
THE PHILIPPINES, INC. and Mindanao TVET Association (MINTVET), will be holding
the 3
rd
International and National TESD Congress on October 17, 2014,
at the SMX Convention Center, Davao City, Mindanao. This event is jointly
organized with the Technical Educational and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

This years annual event which will be attended by ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED
(1,300) TVET Institution leaders from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. We have invited
TVET Champions Secretary Joel V. Villanueva, Senator Paolo Benigno BAM Aquino, IV,
Roman T. Romulo and Secretary Armin Luistro of Department of Education as our Hon-
ored guests and resource persons.

As a significant partner in the sector, we would like to invite you to Davao City, Mindanao

TESD Congress
The 3rd International and National TESD Davao
Congress is a gathering of TVET Leaders, Trainers,
Workplace Managers, Industry stakeholders, TESDA
Officials, and other key players in TVET from Luzon,
Visayas and Mindanao, to discuss issues and concerns
in Technical Education and Skills Development looking at
four (4) perspective: (1) Socio-economic (2) K to 12 and
ASEAN Integration (3) Education governance and (4)
Entrepreneurship, Education and Training

Central to these perspective is the countrys
education and development in relation to global
economy and development. This conference would
not only pursue and clarify answers to questions that
would ultimately be formulated as Resolutions for
National TVET Policy reforms and recommendations,
but more importantly walk the first steps leading to
the TVET sectors contribution to the development of
the countrys economy.


As a differentiated and unique 3rd International and
National TESD Davao Congress puts together in ONE
VENUE:

a forum for TVETIdeas-worth-sharing
plenary discussions of TVETIssues for policy
recommendations

Conference Goals:

The 3rd International and National TESD Davao
Congress gathers TVET leaders and stakeholders to:

Share ideas about the current and future plight of
technical-vocational education and training amidst
global trends and changes;
Contribute open forums, opinions, and ideas in
plenary discussions for the formulation of TVET
Policy recommendations;
Participate and gain knowledge in the legislative
agenda of the government in relation to TESD;
Understanding the implications of those legislative
reform agenda to TESD;
Build Network in TVET among leaders and key
players for better work relationships in promoting
and advocating for United TVET Providers in the
Philippines;
Engage in meaningful three Ships: Friendship,
Fellowship, and Leadership in TVET.

addressing issues and concerns in poverty alleviation
through entrepreneurship and livelihood, under-
employment, access and deprivation)

Integration of Mindanao Skills Supply and Demands

Education & Training. (Recognizing new developments and
challenges in building a new world economy, effects in
rapid pace in information and technologies, implications of
demographic and workplace trends, and emergence of
demands for new and higher-level TVET skills in the K to
12, and understanding the need to expand and improve
quality in TVET)

Linking Tesda-TVET to DepEd-K to 12
Upgrading Skills Training with the Right Mix and
Equation
Updates on TESDA Curriculum for Senior High
School
