Goal 2: North Loop Science TAKS scores were 85% passing in 2008-2009. In order to meet
AYP and become an exemplary school by May 2010, Science TAKS scores will improve by 15
points. This goal will be achieved by bringing the outside world into the classroom through
the use of technology and providing interactive science experiences to enhance student
achievement on standardized assessments.
Goal 3: North Loop Reading TAKS scores were 90% passing in 2008-2009. In order to meet
AYP and become an exemplary school by May 2010, Reading TAKS scores will improve by 10
points. This goal will be achieved implementing Study Island, alignment of instructional
resources, and blogging, and the use of web-based programs to strengthen phonics, fluency
and comprehension.
