Stewardship
October 5, 2014 - 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time
"The stone the builders rejected has become the corner stone..." - Matthew 21:42
Jesus was the corner stone and He was rejected by the religious and political leaders of his day, as well as ordi- nary citizens. Living a stewardship lifestyle may cause you to be "rejected" by others in today's society. For example, saying grace before a meal in a restaurant may attract some strange looks from some. But to others it is sign that God is alive and well!

An Election Prayer to Mary
O Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy, at this most critical time, we entrust the United States of America to your loving care.
Most Holy Mother, we beg you to reclaim this land for the glory of your Son. Overwhelmed with the bur- den of the sins of our nation, we cry to you from the depths of our hearts and seek refuge in your motherly protection.
Look down with mercy upon us and touch the hearts of our people. Open our minds to the great worth of human life and to the responsibilities that accompany human freedom.
Free us from the falsehoods that lead to the evil of abortion and threaten the sanctity of family life. Grant our country the wisdom to proclaim that Gods law is the foundation on which this nation was found- ed, and that He alone is the True Source of our cher- ished rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happi- ness.
O Merciful Mother, give us the courage to reject the culture of death and the strength to build a new Cul- ture of Life.
