Completing work outside of the classroom is vital to attaining the best grade possible in the GCSE
exams. Students may come to see any maths teacher any day after school to get help.

Newsletter number 2.
In each newsletter you will find 4 main features designed to support our Year 11 students in their
quest for the best grade they can attain. Please contact us if you are unsure where you should
start!
1. Homework

The homework for each student and the day it is due is listed below. Please strongly
encourage your child to complete this on time. Maths teacher are available every day after
school to help. Students who take homework seriously get better grades. If your child
informs you they have already completed it, please ask to see it. We will contact you if the
homework is not handed in or completed to an acceptable standard.

2. Additional worksheets.
Earlier in the newsletter you will find links to the questions and answers for Week 2 of
Fundamental Friday and Get the A*. Dont forget that these worksheets are voluntary
but have been shown to be of a great support to previous students.
Get the A* is a worksheet designed to help students attain the top grades and
Fundamental Friday is aimed at covering work at the level of C grade.
3. Online support
Each newsletter will also contain links to the latest clips we have produced and other
excellent websites we are aware of that should help.
4. Daily Dose
Every day 2 exam questions (one for Higher and one for Foundation) are tweeted out with
the answer. Please subscribe to @ASAPMaths to get these. Alternatively, there will always
be links in this newsletter to the questions sent out that week.
