Each port has provided specific information which you will be reuired to follow. The !rrival !rrangements for Varna should be studied very carefully. C#se A !ccording to $ulgarian legislation the registry documents of the vessels are checked by border police on entry in $ulgarian territorial waters or in the ports. ,f the vessel is written as F5assenger'Cruise vesselG% FTraining vesselG% FCargo vesselG% F+ffshore support vesselsG or other cases when the vessel has to have a professional crew% the ships are treated in a similar way and they need to present all the documents listed in the ,(+ convention. 8/ crew lists with seafarers documents% / passenger lists% ,(+ general declaration% Nil list% *ast 10 ports of call list9.
C#se B ,n cases when the vessel is written as a F5leasure craftG% F5leasure boatG% F5leasure yachtG or in another way connected to pleasure or free time% when the crew has to have the necessary documents for steering a vessel% but does not have to be professional crew% the vessel is treated as pleasure craft. The owner or the FCaptainG of the vessel has to present before the border police authorities / copies of the FControl "orm for 5leasure $oatsG form% copies of registration and ownership documents.

Note t'#t it is res(onsi6i$it, o" e*er, indi*id#$ to obtain any visa that may be necessary for the ports visited by the ship. !lso according to the $ulgarian legislation it is res(onsi6i$it, o" t'e s'i(s c#(t#in:cre4 to c'ec- if the passengers listed in the passenger list have all the documents needed for the ports visited by the ship and failure to be in possession of such documents may result in penalties for the ship3s captain or ship owner.
-egulations governing visas are liable to change.
!vailability of copies of the visa or visa number% issuing country and validity will be highly appreciated in order to reduce the time for formalities. ,f there are any crew changes during ship3s stay in the port the captain'ship owner should inform for those the border police authorities via the !gent of the vessel.

!ccording to $ulgarian legislation all people present on board a pleasure craft are treated as passengers and should fulfil the above reuirements concerning passengers. This includes persons with seafarers3 documents7 all persons% regardless of position on the vessel% will reuire a visa if not a citiJen from e)empted country. The information about the vessel and the people present on it is to be written in the FControl "orm for 5leasure $oatsG 8details are on the Captains3 page of the Sail Training ,nternational website and will be in the Captains3 &andbook published on the Sail Training ,nternational website in due course9. >uring the boarder check the border police authorities may need copies of other documents like registration% ownership documents and other.
!ccording to the $ulgarian legislation% the corresponding (inistry of the country of origin of the ship should apply for permission for stay in $ulgarian territorial waters and ports from the $ulgarian (inistry of >efence. !fter this permission is granted the ship will be guarded by (ilitary police representatives. The Seafarers on board of these vessels are not subHect to boarder checks but nevertheless a crew list is presented to $oarder police authorities. +nly in case of crew changes in the port% a Travel +rder% with name% number of military document% for the seafarers should be presented to $order police representatives accompanied by list with the names and numbers of military documents of the seafarers leaving the ship.
5lease note that all ships will be cleared out by ,mmigration +fficers for departure from Varna to Novorossiysk.
No luggage% goods or currency can be received from ships ashore or handed to other vessels without the permission of the customs authorities e)cept for loading% unloading or safety euipment.
