The
Chair
LAST August, we started The Chair as the
frst article for the re-launch of KFam
Insider.
The other title which, as I said last issue,
i like better-- is The 2 Killer Moves That Will
Make You Win in Life.
The First Move:
Turn Your Realization
into Your Resolution.
First Move:
Defne Who You Want To Become

Second Move:
Create a Schedule That Will Make You
Become What You Want To Become

The secret is in the weekly schedule.
Once you make something a part of your
weekly schedule (whatever that some-
thing is), the Law of Compounding takes
over -- and before you know it, you
end up becoming the person you
want to become.
Ultimately, the bigger question is, Who
does God want you to become
Make a God-First Schedule
When you put something into your
weekly schedule, youre announcing that
something is very important to you.

Is God important to you?
So if you want to be a God-Follower,
what should you insert in your weekly
schedule?
Again, I discern two killer moves.
First Move:
Meet God at The Feast
The Feast is our weekly faith gathering. I
still get some attendees who come up to
me and say, Oh, Bo, Im so thankful I was
here. Your message really hit home. I
wasnt planning to be here but at the last
minute, I decided to come
If theres no Feast where you are, check
out The Feast online.
Second Move:
Meet God at The Chair
Pick a chair. (If you dont have a chair,
buy one.) This will be sacred place
where you will commune with God. This
will be your temple, your tabernacle,
your private cathedral
And in that chair, give Jesus 15 minutes a
day! Where you can listen to God and
get fresh marching orders from Him. In
those 15 minutes, pray, read your Bible
(use our devotionals -- Companion,
Didache, or Sabbath -- or all of them),
write your journal, be quiet
The most important thing you need
to do in this chair is to pray,
Lord, speak to me.
Gods Word is not just the text in the
Bible. I know people who study the
Bible as a literary work and nothing
happens to their life. I repeat: Gods
Word is not just the text of the Bible, but
the voice that you hear in your heart.
Heres my promise to you: When God
becomes frst in your schedule, and you
give Him chair time, your life will never be
the same again.
Let me declare this to you: That if you
will be faithful to your daily 15 minutes
on your chair, listening to God, re-surren-
dering yourself to Him, over time, you
will see more miracles in your life. More
relationships will be reconciled, more
spiritual gifts will be released, more
power will fow in you, and youll
become an impactful witness in your
ofce, among your friends, and with
your family.
Why do I know this?
Because Jesus promised, Seek frst the
Kingdom of God and all these things will
be added unto you.

FAM INSIDER
I know of this woman who was going
through a tragedy in her life. She had
one of the most painful experiences a
human being can ever have: She caught
her husband having an afair. Not only
that, she discovered that her husband
took shabu. And for years, he was so
irresponsible, he never added to the
familys fnancial needs. They had two
beautiful children who were devastated
by what was happening to their father.
When I met the woman at The Feast, I
had no words to comfort her. But I was
amazed at her faith. With tears in her
eyes, she told me, Im going to go
through this. Im going to overcome.
Fast-forward a couple of years later, this
woman now enjoys a life of victory.
Shes a single mom and blessed in every
way. Her career is fying and shes
serving God in ministry. Her two
children are doing well and serving with
her, too.
If you ask her, What sustained you
through your trial? she would tell you
two things:
First, I was sustained by going to The
Feast every Sunday to receive Gods
Word. Without The Feast, I wouldnt
know how I would have survived.
Second, I spent my 15 minutes on The
Chair and asked God to speak to me.
During my darkest moments, when Im
so confused, I pray, Lord, speak to me!
And He did.
Friend, build a God-First Schedule.
And live a God-First Life.
May your dreams come true,
IN KerygmaFamily, every day is a
happy day because we are flled with
the Good News: Gods promise that He
is with us, whatever is our situation
in life.
I learned that from the article of Bro.
Bo Sanchez titled The Chair which we
started in our August 2014 issue. We
give you Part 2 in this issue (Page 1).
Sha Nacino, bestselling author, and
Janelle Ibay, a young fashion designer,
share their Chair style (This page).
Sit back, read, relax, and enjoy your
time with God.
As we said last month, every issue of
KFam Insider includes a feature on
our partner benefciaries, the various
ministries we have been able to
sustain mainly through the generous
support of our Kerygma Family
members.
In this issue, we have an edifying,
inspiring story also from Bro. Bo --
about the scholars of our partner
benefciary, Pag-asa ng Pamilya. (Page
3). Reading the story just makes me
giddy about my very rewarding job.
Knowing we have made a diference in
the life of the youth is indeed great
reward for me. I know you will feel the
same way too. Read on!
Also, happiness for me is the email of
Bro. Edgedio Ignacio who took time to
let us know how Kerygma, our inspira-
tional magazine, has been a big help
for him (Page 4).
And I know happiness for you is not
missing any issue of KFam Insider.

You Answered the Cries of Yolanda Survivors
LET me tell you about Hanna, Merly,
and Dani.
Hannah works as a waitress and some-
times dishwasher in a carinderia (small
restaurant). Her meagre daily wage
supplements her single moms P200/day
salary in a trading company.
Merly has been a teen-aged domestic
helper for the past three years. She lost
her mom when she was four years old,
then her father abandoned her and
started a new family in another province.
Dani, the son of a jeepney driver, is a
catechist and lector in their barangay
chapel. His mother sometimes takes
on laundry jobs to augment the
family income.
Aside from being dirt poor Hannah,
Merly, and Dani (not their real names)
have several things in common: All of
them used to live in houses that are no
more-- totally destroyed by super-ty-
phoon Yolanda (international name
Haiyan) last November 2013 And all of
them graduated from high school last
April 2014.
Merly was class valedictorian, while Dani
received First Honorable mention award.
Together with 15 other Yolanda survivors,
Hannah, Merly, and Dani are struggling to
rebuild their shattered dreams-- through
college education.
They believe that armed with college
degrees, they can later on help their
families move on to a better life. And they
have burning desires to contribute their
share in rebuilding their traumatized
communities.
Pag-asa ng Pamilya (Hope of the Family)
Scholarship Foundation, a partner
benefciary of KerygmaFamily, believes in
Hannah, Merly, and Dani. Pag-asa felt
their pain and heard their cries. Pag-asa
now journeys with them and many other
Yolanda survivor students.
Pag-asa ng Pamilya Scholarship Founda-
tion leaders met with our new scholars
last April. And last June, Pag-asa began
sending them to various colleges and
universities in Leyte and Samar.
This mission of mercy is actually a
continuation of what we had begun in
November 2013. A few days after Yolanda
struck with devastating fury never before
seen in the Philippines, the Light of Jesus
Family, our faith community, swung into
action.
Your generosity and swift response
enabled us to airlift 55 metric tons of
relief goods to the survivors.
The governments C-130 cargo planes
brought your donations from Manila to
Leyte and Samar, and then the Air Forces
helicopters airdropped the relief goods to
the survivors.
And we you and I - have not stopped
there.
Today, we are still in solidarity with the
typhoon victims. We know that their
pains have not been healed. Their needs
have not been fully met. Their dreams
have not fully died.
Yolandas 22-foot high foodwaters had
subsided. The victims tears have not.
With your moral and fnancial support,
KerygmaFamily will journey with these
Pag-asa scholars for the next four or fve
years, until they all fnish university
education.
We keep on praying for them and with
them, believing our loving Gods tears
mingle with theirs.
And deep in our heart, we know that
these Pag-asa scholars have got what it
takes to hurdle whatever challenges life
may still throw at them
With Gods grace, they can.
And they will.
Thank you so much for your unending
and faithful support! Through you, were
able to help a lot more Hannas, Merlys,
and Danis in the world.
May your dreams come true,
BO SANCHEZ

Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything
they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
- Matthew 18:19
These words which Jesus spoke before His apostles have been
the inspiration of the Christian practice to pray together for each
ones concerns and petitions to God. Even as Kerygma Family
members are scattered all over Planet Earth, we can still agree
about anything we ask from God through mass communica-
tionHis modern-day gift to us.

I ALREADY received the Kerygma
magazine for July 2014 issue.
I like reading it. It really inspires
me and I'm learning a lot from
real life stories of diferent
people. It keeps me closer to God
every day. It made me realize that
even before I was not yet a church
goer, He still blessed me abun-
dantly. Although there are many
trials in my life, still the blessings
that have come to my life are enormous.
As I read in Kerygma, pain and trouble that we experience enable
us to grow in life.
Today I`m not afraid anymore to experience pain and sufering
because I know a reward will come after the trials. And I know God
loves me so much.
Thank you very much! More power!
