The theorem of Thales.

In this assignment you are going to physically show the theorem of Thales.
Thales' theorem states that if A, B and C are points on a circle where the line AC is a
diameter of the circle, then the angle ABC is a right angle.

1. First of all, watch the little movie/Powerpoint that we emailed you.
2. Now as a group, build the construction in the same way as mister Naber did.
3. Check if the angle is indeed 90 degrees all the time.


4. Can you prove the theorem using the picture below? (Why are the angle at A and the
left angle at C both alpha? And why are the angle at B and the right angle at B both
beta?)
