A Brief History

Before the advent of World Citi Medical Center, the prestigious medical hub was named as Quezon City
Medical Center - under the management of Quezon City Medical Center and Colleges (QCMCC).
It then had a 100-bed capacity which in, circa 70's, was one of the largest hospitals in the area of Quezon
City.
Mid 1979, the hospital's Articles of Incorporation was amended, changing its corporate name to Quezon
City Medical Center and Colleges, Inc. This prompted the founding of its very first college - the College of
Nursing.
When the political climate in the Philippines drastically shifted during the 1986 People Power Revolution, so
did the management of Quezon City Medical Center.
Newly acquired by the Guico Family of Binalonan in Pangasinan, their inspiring leadership and visionary
prowess revolutionized the hospital's overall image. The changes paved way for rapid yet consistent
growth, providing QCMC the niche they long deserve.
As dynamic as the hospital's new management, the two-storey hospital building was developed into a 15-
storey edifice spreading its top quality service to hundreds of patients daily.
The eminent development of QCMC was synergized with its educational system.

From a small nursing school, the learning institution dramatically expanded its horizons. Empowered by its
vision and armed with a striking mission to bring Filipinos in the forefront of global competency, the Quezon
City Medical Center and Colleges was upgraded to World Citi Colleges (WCC).
With the emergence of WCC as one of the most competitive schools in the country, the hospital went along
with its growth and was restructured into what now is known as the World Citi Medical Center.
World Citi Medical Center became the proponent of Medical Tourism when it introduced the Medical-Hotel
concept in the country later becoming the first of its kind in the Philippines.
Currently, World CIti Medical Center is a tertiary hospital with level four accreditation by the Department of
Health.

1995 - World Citi Medical Center pioneered the concept and is the first medical hotel in the
Philippines
1995 - World Citi Medical Center is the first hospital to have a SPA, beauty salon and gym inside
its premises
World Citi Medical Center is one of the founding members of Philippine Association of Health
Organizations in Medical Tourism
February 12, 1998 - world Citi Medical Center and Colleges, Inc. is the international headquarters
of Physicians for Peace Philippines, a prestigious organization committed to world peace. It aims to
further peace and international goodwill through quality medical education and care, teach new
skills to healthcare professionals, recruit volunteer healthcare providers
July 2001 - world Citi, Inc. gained the ISO 9001:2000 Certification for Quality Management System
July 2005 - Philippine Marketing Excellence Awardee for the Most Outstanding Center for Wellness
and Medical Hospitality in the Philippines
December 2005 - Awarded as the Most Outstanding Medical Center in the 2005 Global Excellence
Award held at the Ambassador Hotel , Shenzhen, China.
April 2006 - World Citi Medical Center and World Citi Colleges received the Integrated
Management System (IMS) Certificates or ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management System)
and OHSAS 18001:2007. We then became the first hospital and school to be accredited with
Certification International in the Philippines
2006 - World Citi Medical Center became a member of the Medical Tourism Association
July 23, 2008 - World Citi Medical Center launched and incorporated its Aesthetic Center. The Citi
Wellness Center
2010 - Citi Wellness Center is a proud member of "The International Medical Spa Association"
At Present, both companies closely coordinates with the Philippine Department of Health (DOH),
and Philippine's Department of Tourism (DOT)

OF THE TRAINING
PROGRAM

A. Objectives:

GENERAL
The main objective is to successfully combine fundamental engineering
knowledge, core leadership skills and the practical experience gained from the school to
turn ideas into reality

SPECIFIC
To enhance skills in troubleshooting.
To have knowledge of the proper way of maintaining Mechanical Equipment.
To become a part of highly recognize company WORLD CITI that will broaden
career and to develop new knowledge and skills.
To be able to develop attitudes towards work.
To be able to share abilities and talents for the benefits of WORLD CITI company.

C. Areas of Training

WORLD CITI focuses in monitoring, repairing and preventive maintenance of each facility
including pumping stations and chiller stations. During our training, the areas that I was able to
enhance my skills are the following:

Monitoring of Daily Pumping Operations
Thermal and Vibration scanning of Motor Water Pumps
Creating Output Reports of Daily Operations
Maintenance of Different Water Pumps
Inspection of pumps condition
Maintenance of AHUs and FCUs by monitoring its Voltage and Ampere Outputs
Inspection of Air-conditioning Chillers
Troubleshooting of Air-conditioning Units

D. Reference Materials Used During the Training

We didnt use any reference materials during our training. They only guide and teach me
based on the actual situation on a plant operation. Nevertheless id learned so many things that can
help me on my chosen field.
