A Personal Interview with Barangay Captain

Mrs. Teresa Mendoza is very well known for her hardworking, for being
responsible, and perseverance. She is a college graduate and finished a
degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce. At the age of twenty five she was
married to Mr. Larry Mendoza, her loving husband, responsible man and a
helpful partner. And they are gifted with four angels namely Laiza, Lieselle,
Leandro Kim and Jhonloyd. Laiza and Lieselle are now in college, Leandro Kim is
in high school and the youngest, Jhonloyd is still in day care. She was re-elected
as a barangay captain.
As I interviewed her I came to know her personality and plans or doings in
our barangay. And as the interview goes by she was being jolly, hospitable and
has a sense of humor in the sense that she doesnt like me to feel nervous. As I
asked her what are the things motivated her to run as a barangay captain in
our barangay she answered me The things that inspired me the most to run as
a Barangay Captain are the people around me specially my family and the
people who are in need. She also answered that she want to serve the people
in her community and she also want to improve the things that she can in our
barangay like the agricultural equipments, our barangay road and anything for
the sake of the people of her barangay. Agricultural equipment is the number
one or the most priority that she wants to improve because farming is the
number one source of income in our barangay. She also wants to improve our
barangay road so that people can drive easily and safely.
In our barangay there are twenty two barangay councils and two
barangay chairmen seek to serve the people. Most of them were not able to
win but they show sportsmanship. As we all know, barangay election was
conducted recently. As I questioned her if what did she observed the recently
concluded barangay election, she stated that The election in our barangay
conducted peacefully because everyone was well mannered and are self-
disciplined. And the COMELEC did their best and they are willing to explain to
the people what they must to do.
Through the interview I came to know her plans to our barangay or the
projects that she will going to implement like the road maintenance like dikes for
river control, barangay hall, covered court, maintenance of the bridges. And
also the activities that shes going to conduct are tree planting, oplan dalus for
the beautification of our barangay to avoid dengue that can cause death to
everyone. She will make a resolution for this project so that our municipal mayor
will approve it. And with the help of the barangay officials and the people of
the community they can make the projects possible.
Her greatest legacy at the end of her term to the people of her barangay
are the projects that she made for us, such as the agricultural equipments,
barangay hall, covered court, maintenance of the bridge, cementing of the
barangay road, beatification of our barangay and most specially her love and
sacrifices that she gave on us as the mother of our barangay.
She is a woman of an hour. You can call her anytime. You can see her as
busy person but she find time to help you. She is very responsible chairwoman of
the barangay. You can see her efforts, sacrifices, and love to the people of her
barangay. She is really good and deserving mother of our barangay. She is a
