RECOVERY SYSTEM FOR CNC position and then the program
MACHINE TOOLS has to be executed right from the beginning. This is tedious and any improper positioning ABSTRACT: of tool
This paper presentation aims
at introducing a system which is capable of storing and retrieving the program which is in current execution when power goes off and came. This is of very efficient one since nowadays frequent power shut-off are common in Industries. This pays way for fully automated systems in today’s scenario.
INTRODUCTION:
The necessity for this system
not only covers the need for reduced downtime but also includes higher production rate and operator convenience and also the demand for fully automated machine tools. It is very common in Industries that when power goes off while machining in CNC machine tool , then the tool position is program that lies after the block is transmitted into Will harm the operator or secondary memory card from machine tool itself. the main memory card.
WORKING:
This system consists of a multi
card data transfer device , an UPS , an main and secondary memory card. Multi-card data transfer device comprises 2 multi card interface,2 slots for electrically connecting cards, a key module, power supply for data transfer.
UPS (Uninterrupted Power
Supply) starts working once the power failure/cut occurs in machine tool. The UPS unit is connected with multi-card data transfer device and servo systems in the machine tool. The feedback (for position and velocity) from the encoder or any other feedback devices is fed to microprocessor in the data transfer device. The last signal is used to determine the block at which the power failure occurs. Then the block that is previous to this block is taken as reference (since it is executed completely) and the processor in the circuit after it has performed the action. Another important part is to set the tool at the position indicated by the reference block. For doing this , the servo system is connected to the processor which sends signal to reverse the action to achieve required position from the current position. The remaining program (Unexecuted part) is stored in the secondary memory card in the default filename.
Once the power comes off in
the main circuit, operator has to call the program in the secondary memory card to continue the operation.
Moreover this system also
employs a timer relay circuit. When the power shut-off and retrieval time is very short or not enough for the microprocessor and servo system to perform required task, the timer relay circuit prevents such a situation by opening the main circuit for the time required by system to process the action. The signal to the relay is sent by
