ANSWERING THE BAR EXAM QUESTIONS 1. Use neutral identifiers like letters X, Y A, or fictitious names like Juan dela Cruz for persons and the countrys capital Manila for the place if required by the facts. NEVER USE YOUR NAME as name of a party or notary public.
2. As a rule of thumb, a marking is any symbol, mark or writing that is uncalled for which has no place in the notebook or answer, or which appears to have been placed by the Bar candidate to identify his notebook.
Do not actually affix a signature for the counsel, attesting witness, etc. as this would constitute as marking. Instead, just place (Sgd.) before the name of the counsel or party.

6. Names of parties should be repeated The use of pronouns might give rise to ambiguity
7. Keep the document neat Must be free from erasures, interlineations, or suspicions of alteration
8. This clause may be inserted at the end of the agreement: This contract shall extend and shall be binding upon the parties thereto, their executors, administrators and assigns
