We often come across with the error "Info object not available in version M"
While activating info objects using BI content.
Here, I am trying to share some points that I have observed while activating info object. And i
am sharing how to solve this issue.
Environment: BW7.3
Case 1;
!here in t"code #$%, am activating info object &'(#)A'*.
+! By activating info object &'(#)A'*, am getting Info object not available in version ,
issue.
-! I am getting this issue because &'(#)A'* is not having an entry with version , in table
#$%I.B/.
0oto se""1table name #$%I.B/""1 clic2 on table fields.
3! In the selection screen insert &'(#)A'*.
4! 5ow you will find only one entry with % 6 %78I97#7% version.: Here coloumn 9
represents 9ersion of info object!.
*his table is not having an entry with with , 6 ,.%I;I7% version. $o, *his is the reason we
are facing isue "Info object not available in version ,".
Case 2;
!Here in t"code #$%, am activating info object <#W'<'&+.
+! It is activated successfully.
-! Because it is having both versions as % 6 delivered and , 6 modified. And by activating
info object <#W'<&+, a new record is added with active version.
Case 3;
: *his case - is continuation of case !
! *o solve the issue info object not available in version ,,

*hen select info object. (ress *ransfer values.

*hen activate it.
3! Info object &'(#)A'* activated successfully.
4! 5ow you can find versions A, %, , in the table #$%I.B/.
*he reason is, while activating an info object using BI content, *he re=uired info object is
activated successfully with all its dependent objects. *hats why we will not get any issue.
Where as, while activating from t"code #$%, only the particular info object is getting
activated with out activating its dependent objects.
If one of its dependent object is not active, then you can not activate the info object. In this
situations you will come across with issue " info object not available in version , ".
$o always activate your info objects from BI 'ontent. *hen you will not get any issues.
>! 5ow you can observe in t"code #$%, that A88 info objects activated. Because in table
#$%I.B/, you are having three versions of info object i.e, A, %, ,.
Case 4:
! here in t"code #$%,
I am giving a non e?isting info object &AB'%7;0HI/@8, which is not there in BI content.
And am activating it.. Aou will get message info object not available in version ,.
+! this is because the info object does not contain an entry in table #$%I.B/.
5either with delivered version nor with modified version.
-! If the info object is not available in BI content or in table #$%I.B/, then ta2e assistance of
basis consultant.
Conclusion:
'hec2 whether your info object is having an entry in table #$%I.B/ or not.
If info object e?ists in version %, then go to #$A""1 BI content and activate it.
