PRESENTATION AND ANALYSIS OF DATA


The questionnaires were distributed and retrieved from 20 secretaries, who were
randomly selected for the research work.
The analysis of the data collected would be presented in tables a

The table above show that majority of the respondents (40%) are within the age
of 36- 40years 25% between 31-35 years 20% within the 40 and above age range.
With the majority at 40% it means that the respondents are young and active and
therefore the responses given by them may be reliable.

From the table above the basic qualification of most respondents was the
HND/HD, this means that first bank did not employ amorally below HND/ND
levels to assist in their task of total quality management A further look at the
table reveals that 60% of all the secretaries have attained either the ND or ND
while 20% had other professional certificate and GCE or WASC had 20%

the bank secretaries are differentiable by their category

The table above 75% of the respondents agreeing they were well paid. This was
because the management of the bank recently reviewed staff salaries. This
favored the secretary because, initially they system did not recognize the role the
secretary played in the administration of the bank. 25% of the respondent were
not satisfied, it was discovered that they were the people that had just the WASC
and other unrecognized certificated.

Sine the research covered both the junior and senior categories Executive
secretors were considered among the senior category. The researcher got 50%
executive secretaries, and 50% non executives.

The table above show that 20% had worked as executive secretary for less than 3
years 50% within do rage of 3-5 years while 10% had worked for 6-10 years and
20% had worked also 11-15 years

From the above table 75% believed they had bright prospect for advancement in
the office while 25% gave the excuse that because they were not well paid, they
depend on was the internal appraisal which they believed would favor them
whenever the bank decided to appraise them

Result from the above table show that 75% had under- gone other training
programs just as it was the practice in first bank to expose their staff to diverse
from of knowledge and training very few are yet to benefit from the practice.
