The Project
Revisiting the story I created in first year, I
will be producing an animated short. The
minor project goal is to complete pre-
production work ready to continue into the
major project.

Original Story
My original script told the story of a rubber chickens journey back to a nest of plastic
eggs. It took place inside a joke shop and was born out of the random selection of the
words! contortionist, joke shop and egg.

Story Outline
#helf $ife tells the story of a lonely rubber chicken trying to create a family and a home
inside a toy shop.
Act 1 The rubber chicken is alone and unwanted in a bargain bin. %e sees the other
toys together on their shelves, in bo&es they can call home.
Act 2 The chicken assembles a nest made entirely of things found around the shop.
%e finds an egg and brings it back to his new home.
Act 3 'ith the egg nestled in his construction, the chicken climbs in to keep the egg
warm. (ust as he is falling asleep, he hears a crack as the egg begins to hatch...
