Dear Mr.

Torres,
I am Robert Garcia and I am a senior student of the Environmental Science degree. I
am writing to you because I would like to complete my last year degree at the Aarhus
University, in Denmark. I would like to stay in Aarhus for the second semester in order
to do some elective courses to finish my degree.
The Aarhus University was founded more than eighty years ago and it is a remarkable
place where I could achieve a great experience for the benefit of my education.
Denmark is a Nordic country plenty of natural landscapes with a brilliant stance on
environmental preservation. Moreover, in 1971 Denmark established a Ministry of
Environment and was the first country in the world to implement an environmental
law in 1973. Due to all these facts, I think it is one of the most suitable places to study
Environmental Science. In addition, I am studying at a language school in order to get
my Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English. Therefore, living abroad would
definitely help me to improve my English skills.
Apart from the academic benefits, living in a different country is a great opportunity to
learn its culture and social customs. I think that living in Denmark would be an
extraordinary experience since Scandinavian way of life is pretty different from ours.
Furthermore, it would give me a chance to make new friends from diverse ethnic and
national backgrounds.
In short, I am sure that study abroad is a unique experience that would help me grow
academically, personally and prepare me for my career.
Yours sincerely,
Robert Garcia
