SELECT Hg110

SELECT Hg-110 is a high-capacity, fast-reacting mixed-metal-sulphide

absorbent with controlled porosity for improved activity.
This allows for smaller vessels and smaller product volumes in a given process application, providing flexibility in system design.
SELECT Hg-110 is suitable for the removal of mercury from gaseous hydrocarbons without sulfur compounds at low temperature.
Mercury removal is achieved by chemical reaction of the metal sulphide, forming a stable mercuric sulphide.

Handling and Disposal

SELECT Hg-110 is a mixed-metal-sulphide absorbent. Such materials can be handled safely provided that proper safety procedures,
such as permit-to-work systems, and risk assessments, such as a Job Safety Analysis, chemical-handling assessments, lifting studies
and applicable disposal regulations, are followed. It is recommended that an experienced contractor be engaged for product loading
and discharge.
Mercury removal is achieved by reaction with the metal sulphide, forming a stable mercuric sulphide. The spent absorbent can be
easily and safely recycled through the metals-recovery industry; the recycling routes are well established. M-I SWACO can facilitate the
provision of product-disposal services if this is required.
Please refer to the relevant Material Safety Data Sheet for further information.
