J iwan Lal Mattoo, the Senior most disciple of Khan Saheb Abdul Wahid Khan of the Kirana Gharana. He is known for maintaining purity and the spirit of the Raga. Especially noteworthy are his innovations in Alap and Rhytnm. Ramesh extracts the best tonal quality from his instrument and produces resonance that sustains amazingly well.
