th
grade students will meet standard (50% percentile or above) on all five
fitness tests of the Presidents Challenge.

By May 2015, at least 20% of Mrs. Pyrteks class will meet standard on each fitness test.

Focus Sub-Group (Based on your data which subgroup appears to be in greatest need of focus?)
Students who met standard on 0-1 tests on the Presidents Challenge pre-assessment during Trimester 1.

SMART Goals:

Grade Level Goal (8.1)
From September 2014 to May 2015, through a variety of fitness activities, sports, and guest speakers, the
percentage of 4
th
grade students meeting standard on all five fitness tests of the Presidents Challenge will improve
from 6% on the Trimester 1 pre-assessment to 25% on the Trimester 3 post-assessment as measured by the
Presidents Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition. Standards will be assessed during Trimester 1 (September)
and Trimester 3 (March-April). Additional opportunities for reassessment will also be provided throughout April
and May.

Grade Level Goal (6.1 / 6.2)
Between September 2014 and May 2015, 20% of Mrs. Pyrteks 4
th
grade students will reach standard on all five
Presidents Challenge fitness tests (Mile, Sit ups, Push-ups, Shuttle Run, Flexibility).

Grade Level Goal (3.1 / 3.2)
Between September 2014 and May 2015 all of Mrs. Pyrteks students who achieved standard on 0-1 fitness tests
on the Trimester 1 pre-assessment will meet standard on one additional test on the Trimester 3 post-assessment
(17 students, or 55% of the class, currently meet the criteria for this sub group). Of these students, 10 will
improve and meet standard on at least two additional fitness tests. While these students will not receive
differentiated instruction from their peers, they will be given the opportunity to retest as often as they desire.
