Introduction

Existing System:
Today, if a person goes to rationshop for buying any grains he has to wait in
queue till his chance comes, and rationshop person starts investigation about his
details manually, which is very time consuming .
DRAWBACKS OF EXISTING SYSTEM:
Ration card holder unable to know what is the current stock status.
Distributor undergoes illegal activities and fake transactions because of
this reason end users are under loss and wont get their proper stock.
Government are unable to find out valid ration cards.
Government doesnt know how many users are there in particular city or
district.
All process done by manually using paper and this data can be lost in
some accidents like fire etc.
Fast report generation is not possible.

Proposed System:
The proposed RATION CARD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM is an efficient way
and is said to be a web based application with interface for maintaining the
database online. It is very helpful to all ration card holders, and provides services
like information of current stock status in FCS, rates of materials which is fixed by
state government and also provides name of license holder, stock, holiday notice
and many more. It makes sure that all the information relating to each data is up to
date and accurate.

Objectives of the proposed system:

Objective of the project is to develop a web based application to manage the ration
card system over the internet such that anyone can access the system at any time
according to their privileges. It is providing own software for storing the records
with security, making the system user friendly and attractive.
The system also helps the cardholder to retrieve information regarding them
when necessary. It maintains an or
derly process.
Creates a user friendly interface to operate on databases.
Fully validated to ensure correct and error free data entry.
Helps rationshop to request for food grains to FCS according to quota and
ration card holder can easily get request indent.
