Hey Janel, Please don't take me wrong.

I am very glad that you took the initiative to

respond to this in the way you did. I was wondering when someone would have the
backbone to stand up for what they believe in. HOORAH to you. Also we do miss your
family and the girls. They are beautiful.
Let me begin by saying that only a few who are sincere inquirers of the truth will even try
to read this response. My response is not borne out of a momentary emotion and it is not
given to someone else teachings. My response is from years of study and trials. My
response is not based on a personal belief. It is based on the complete teaching of the
scripture and the overall context of the revealing of the heart of God. God has liberated
me from the false gospel and given me a true peace.
Now on the topic of our discussion let me say that I am not declaring that God wants His
people broke. Repeat; I am no way saying that God wants all of His people broke.
I am saying that the prosperity message, which says that if you pay your tithes and give
more than that to a local church, then God wants you to be rich, is UN-BIBLICAL and
UN-SCRIPTURAL. It is a concoction of part truth and twisted scripture that is used to
sidetrack Christians and the un-saved. The plan is to cause them to do what they should
do for God and others, which is good, however they do it out of a desire for gain instead
of out of a heart full of love and the direction of the Spirit.
Please know that I am not speaking of yours or anyone in particular. I am not judging
motives. I am addressing an issue from a scriptural standpoint and exposing the intent of
the enemys purpose behind the mask.
The idea, that if I have more to invest, then I will receive more back is a part truth of the
world system. There are many who have invested much and are broke. They are broke
because they did not invest wisely. They took chances. That is the same thing many
Christians do under the prosperity message. They take chances. They feel like less of a
Christian if they have less money. They try to give more to get more. It is a vicious catch
22, circle. Some try to manipulate God into giving them what they have declared in their
own heart to be their rightful part of the pie in the sky. They put their head down like a
bull and determine that they are going to get it right this time. They are going to make
God give them more money no matter what they have to do.
Now let me say this:
Mammon is a spirit. Mammons goal is to get our minds off of the real God and cause us
to allow ourselves to be controlled by Mammon, the spirit. He accomplishes this by one
of two ways, whichever is the most effective for a particular person. Some people are
controlled by the abundance of money. Some people are controlled by the lack of money.
One person thinks about and makes all spiritual decisions based on the ever present
concerns and cares of how much money they have. The other type makes the same
decisions based on how much money they do not have. In either case, mammon is calling
the shots.

We are not to be making spiritual decisions based on the directions of mammon. We are
to make decisions based on the direction of God at the leading of the Holy Spirit and the
direction of the scriptures.
God does not require out of a person more than they have to give. So why do Christians
feel convicted when they dont have more than what they do have to give. You may give
five dollars to someone in need and that was all you had to give. God would honor that
five dollars MORE than He would honor someone who had ten million and only gave ten
thousand to the same person. The devil does not want you to know that because it would
be LIBERATING and free your mind and spirit to serve God with what you do have
instead of trying to serve God with what you dont have.
The Egyptians put the burden of making more brick with less of what the children of
Israel needed. They worked harder and harder to do what they were trying to do and it
made them bitter to be under that system. The scripture says that it made them bitter.
Ironically, that is the same thing that Peter told the sorcerer when he tried to buy the
things of God in Acts. He said that the sorcerer was in the gall of bitterness and iniquity.
Bitterness is also the plague of the last days that defiles many Christians and other people
throughout the entire world. Lest a root of bitterness springing up. . . .; Note it begins as a
root. It gets rooted in the heart and spirit and none can pluck it out but Christ Jesus. If a
man tries to pluck out bitterness he would pull his whole heart and spirit out and destroy
himself. Christ speaks to the heart and commands the root of bitterness to dry up. He does
this with truth. He exposes mans heart to the man himself through many dangers, toils,
and snares and then convicts the man to call on Jesus to heal the bitter heart/spirit.
Bitterness prevents people from being able to drink in and receive the Holy Spirit in
fullness. The bible says that God sends the spirit in abundance. That is the spirit that
changes lives and brings about great miracles. Money does not bring miracles. Money
does not build the kingdom of God. The kingdom is righteousness, peace, and joy in the
Holy Ghost. Which of those can be bought? If money keeps a person from any of those
things then the person is not seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
That person is following mammon and seeking money.
God showed me a long time ago not to trust in what I had in my pocket/bank account etc;
I did not fully understand at the time and maybe even now do not fully comprehend the
breadth of what I was instructed. However, I can say that I do comprehend now so much
more than I did before that my quest is not to be Mammon oriented or Mammon directed
or controlled. It is to be God controlled and directed.
If the word that to whom much is given, much is required is to be taken as truth
expressed from God, Then the same ten percent of my small amount would be required
from the millionaire. What is ten percent of three million? However that same millionaire
is commanded to give to everyone that God puts in their lives that is without and has the

needs of this world. Do they do it? Has God stripped them of their money and given it to
you or I or ten million other Christians throughout the entire world. NO, NO, NO.
They sowed and they are reaping what they sowed. They sowed money. They reap
money. They did not sow righteousness. They are not reaping righteousness. Moths and
rust will have what is theirs for they did not sow into heaven where moths and rust can
not destroy.
God has people with money in the church and people without money in the church. It
always has and always will be like that. God nowhere says that he wants everyone broke.
He also nowhere says that He wants everyone RICH. Those that declare such are in the
gall of bitterness. They are sowing bitterness into other peoples hearts. They are sowing
bitterness because people get bitter after not receiving enough to do that which they
believe they are supposed to have or do after long enough.
Bitterness is not a feeling. It is a root that permeates the spirit and robs you of the joy of
the Holy Spirit and righteousness. It robs a person of the peace of god that passes all
understanding. It robs a person of the liberating peace of knowing Jehovah Jireh the God
who meets all my NEEDS according to His riches in glory.
Deuteronomy 28 tells us that we will serve the world and Mammon because we did not
serve the LORD with gladness of heart. The Amplified version states in vs. (Deu 28:47)
Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness of [mind and] heart [in
gratitude] for the abundance of all [with which He had blessed you], . . . . (Deu 28:48)
Therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the Lord shall send against you, in hunger
and thirst, in nakedness and in want of all things; and He will put a yoke of iron upon
your neck until He has destroyed you.
Now to put this in proper perspective; To say that God has not blessed you abundantly
and does not meet your needs is an accusation against the faithfulness of God. God has
saved, given beautiful children, given good godly husbands and wives, met needs, healed,
given jobs and many other things of the world. He has given food, rain, sunshine, cars, a
roof over our heads, clothes, and the list goes on and on as we sit in our padded pews
trying to buy wealth from God as if to say, I cant believe this is all you have for me. I
said that myself one day. I was wrong and so are the perpetrators of the name it claim it
prosperity movement that is declaring to God, where is mine?, and I cant believe you
dont want me to be rich in mammon.
Now in the beginning of your post you said, I can not believe that God wants His people
to be poor. How can Gods people be poor when He owns everything. Why do we feel
like we are poor if we dont have it in our bank accounts? Who accuses us that we are
poor? Does God call us poor? NO! He says come to me for whatever you have need of
and I will freely give it. NOTE: He said freely. Freely. Freely! He did not say you could
earn it by giving to some preacher who already had more than enough for himself. He did
not say that you would get rich by giving to an organization that was doing more to build
their earthly kingdom than they were to build Gods kingdom. A beautiful building and a

lear jet are not an indication of Gods blessing on a particular group. If it were an
indication of Gods will for riches than we SHOULD ALL JOIN THE ROMAN
CATHOLIC CHURCH because it is the wealthiest church in the world. It owns more real
estate, has more beautiful buildings, builds more schools, gives more money to the poor
and so on and so on than ANY, I repeat, ANY protestant church could ever hope to do.
The wealth and prosperity gospel is not a gospel at all. It is a message that is deceiving
Gods people in the last days just as it did in the earliest days. Jude says; (Jud 1:11) Woe
unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of
Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
(Jud 1:12) These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding
themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees
whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
(NOTE: spots in love feasts = church meetings, feeding themselves = their own desire
for gain, clouds without water = false promises of refreshing, winds = doctrines and
teachings, trees with withering fruit = people who have bought into the message and then
fall away when they see it doesnt do what they were told and the only one who got rich
was the one putting out the material books and teachings and received the offering for
themselves to live sumptuously, without fruit = no true spiritual gain or fruit of the
Spirit, .)
(Jud 1:13) Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to
whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
(Jud 1:14) And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold,
the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
(Jud 1:15) To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among
them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard
speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
(Jud 1:16) These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their
mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of
advantage.
(NOTE: Because of wealth they are admired. Because of status and charisma)
(Jud 1:17) But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the
apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
(Jud 1:18) How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should
walk after their own ungodly lusts.
(NOTE: lust for Mammon. )

(Jud 1:19) These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
(NOTE: They raise themselves above everyone else, they appear to have the spirit or else
this is a wasted warning. We dont have any problem seeing the lack of fruit in the sinner.
However in the church we many times accept the wrong things as fruit of the spirit. God
has to show us that everything that shouts is not having the spirit)
Some people can not believe that God exists. That does not make it so. To say that I can
not believe that God wants us poor is accurate because there is no place that says that
God wants all people generically poor. But to say that God wants all of His people rich is
a lie and a wrong draw card for the sinner. So many get saved under the prosperity gospel
because they want to feel better, be wealthier, help people, gain health, etc, etc, etc. . . .
Any reason for getting saved other than I am a sinner with no hope but hell and I need the
sacrifice of God in Christ Jesus, is a false conversion and a false hope and evidence that
the seed fell on stoney ground and THE CARES of THIS WORLD, mammon, have
choked it out and caused it to bring forth no fruit to perfection.
Jobs friends were under the same delusion that if a person is in Gods will that they will be
healthy, wealthy and wise. They accused that since He had lost everything, that he was
out of Gods will and that if Job would only line himself up with Gods will that he would
be healed and wealthy again. According to them, all Job had to do was to confess his sin
and get right with God. God rebuked them for their counsel and would not even hear their
prayers. He had Job to pray for them. Not only had they wrongly accused Job but in
doing so they had falsely accused God.
They were in effect accusing God of a GRACE, which is un-merited, of extending this
grace based on the ideas of mammon. Those ideas and that system is an EARN it system.
It is not a GRACE system. Anything that you can sell as a way to gain is a false system.
Freely you have received, give out of that which you have received. Give out of what you
have. Stop feeling bad for what you dont have. When you dont have bread for your
friend at midnight, know where to go for them. It is not what you have in your pocket or
your storehouse. It is who you know and where to go when you know that you dont have
enough. Give us this day our daily bread.
We must learn from where our help comes from. We must learn to be in PEACE and that
we can reach up to God when we have a need. We must learn to rest in that God who will
meet EVERY NEED. Wealth is not a NEED. IT IS A LUST. God gives to whom God
wants to give to for a variety of reasons unknown to us.
We take the verse which says to seek first the kingdom and . . . all these will be added to
mean that if we get saved we have it made in this world. It amazes me that we read a
book written by men and women who (Heb 11:13) These all died in faith, not having
received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and
embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

In the New Testament we read of how Peter was directed to go get his tax from a fishs
mouth. Why didnt He pay it out of the riches that Judas was carrying around? Judas
didnt have enough money to feed everybody at the feeding of the 5000. All of the
disciples and Jesus together did not have enough, but Jesus knew where to go for it.
Dont you find it amazing that Jesus did not even pay His own tax from the money bag.
How many preachers and showman with gifts of charisma would refuse to pay their bills
from the offering bag? Very few!!!!! It all belonged to Jesus but He chooses to get His
from the abundance of heaven rather than the abundance of men and mammon.
Peter died broke in this world but rich in heaven. Paul died broke in this world but rich in
heaven. Elijah, Elisha, James and John. All are overlooked as we look into their lives as
our examples. Which one did anything for God based on HOW MUCH MONEY THEY
HAD?
If we are pilgrims and strangers on this earth why do we want to have so much of it?
Why do you think that our teaching is mocked by so many people? We cant tell them to
be willing to sell out to God and take all and give to the poor if our emphasis is to get
rich.
Now let me say that God does not want us to struggle to pay our bills. He does not even
want us in debt. Why do we go in debt? Because we finance and as soon as we get out of
debt, we do it again. We borrow. We dont wait on God. We get what we want, when we
want, and then try to manipulate and manage God into taking care of it.
There are only two ways out of debt. One is wealth. The other way is bankruptcy. God
has provided for both. However God never said that everybody who is saved is supposed
to be generically included in one category such as the wealth side. He also never said that
we were all to be generically included in the bankruptcy side.
Run from the prosperity gospel. Serve God with Joy and gladness for the ABUNDANCE
of all that is available as you have need. And remember if we sow to the flesh we shall of
the flesh reap destruction. . . .
(Gal 6:7) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall
he also reap.
(Gal 6:8) For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that
soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
(Mat 6:20) But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust
doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
(Mat 6:21) For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
(Mat 6:22) The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole
body shall be full of light.
(Mat 6:23) But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore
the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

(Mat 6:24) No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the
other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and
mammon.
(Mat 6:25) Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or
what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than
meat, and the body than raiment?
(Mat 6:26) Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather
into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
(Mat 6:27) Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
NOTE: They neither sow nor reap is used as an example of Gods providence.
(Luk 12:24) Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have
storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
(Luk 12:25) And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
(Luk 12:26) If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for
the rest?
(Luk 12:27) Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say
unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
(Luk 12:28) If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is
cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
(Luk 12:29) And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of
doubtful mind.
(Luk 12:30) For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father
knoweth that ye have need of these things.
(Luk 12:31) But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added
unto you.
(Luk 12:32) Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the
kingdom.
(Luk 12:33) Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not
old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth
corrupteth.
(Luk 12:34) For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
(Joh 4:37) And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
(Joh 4:38) I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured,
and ye are entered into their labours.
NOTE: Can you see the inconsistencies presented?
Paul said to the Corinthians; (1Co 9:11) If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a
great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
(1Co 9:12) If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless
we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of
Christ.

NOTE: Paul said he did not take the carnal things from them so that the gospel would not
be hindered. What hindered the gospel? Exercising the power to take money from the
people. It is one thing to freely receive gifts that are given out of a heart led by God. It is
another thing to preach, teach and insist that you give if you want to be blessed.
Jesus said ; (2Co 9:6) But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly;
and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
(2Co 9:7) Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not
grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
NOTE: Sparingly means less than you are able to and less than a loving heart would
purpose to give for the situation. God is not impressed with a feigned giving. However
God loves a cheerful giver. ANYONE can give out of what they have cheerfully if you
know that God will make up the difference. You dont have to be rich to give joyfully.
You just have to have something.
The widow at Nain had one meal left. She gave. The widow at the treasury gave her mite
out of love and desire to help even though she did not have much. That is the kind of
giving that God notices.
The best kind of giving is not to a rich church that is hoarding and trying to grow their
own status but rather to the needy who God has allowed you to come into contact with in
your life. Your own family, friends, neighbors and people you meet.
Be content with what you have been given. Sow contentment and peace and you will reap
contentment and peace. If we are expecting great riches and ever so much desiring such,
we will begin to overlook and be dis-satisfied with all of the small daily blessings that
God loads on us daily. We will be unappreciative of what we did get because of what we
do not yet have.
I know a man who was once given a city. Instead of rejoicing in that and committing all
to that, this man got swelled up and started making plans to take the world. That is like
saying that Hey God, I like what you have done here but it really isnt enough you know.
I want it all in my own name please. Im counting on you.
Be reminded that Judas did not really care about the hungry or the naked. As the scripture
says, his care was for the mammon. He even tried to convince Jesus that He wanted the
money to give to the poor. But Jesus is God, and God, like so many people like to
proclaim about themselves, knows my heart.
I love ya sister. As soon as you and I stop believing that without a doubt, God wants us to
be rich in this world, we will loose the grace that may make it so if it is to be. Remember
Grace is UN-merited. God is faithful and full of grace and knows exactly how to get what
you need to you without your help or persuasion. Your part is to ask and not to ask amiss
so that you may consume it on your own lusts. This is the way of God for all mankind.

He said all who are burdened and heavy laden come unto me and I will give you rest. Do
you believe that God can give rest without wealth? I do.
