OBJECTIVE: This course will give students a foundation in current optical fiber technologies. The
objective is to build up a familiarity with the perceptually-salient aspects of the optical fiber,
and how they can be extracted and implemented through optical fiber technologies. the course
aims to deepen each student's familiarity with the practical application of optical fiber
technologies in general, through the study of specific instances.
PREREQUISITE(s): The course assumes a familiarity with signals communications. The material on
pattern recognition assumes a basic familiarity with losses in the optical fiber
technologies. The course give complete communications techniques of the optical fiber
technologies
EXPECTED OUTCOME: A student after undertaking this subject; he/she will be able to better understand
the optical fiber technologies representation and processing by analyzing the
mathematical equations as well as optical fiber models.
IT IS BASIC SUBJECT FOR: communication systems, etc,.
SUBJECT APPLICATIONS: Telecommunications to transmit telephone signals, Internet communication,
and cable television signals. Medical, Defense/Government and Industrial/Commercial
