LTC2635- Quad 12-/10-/8-Bit I2C VOUT
DACs with 10ppm/°C Reference

C onverters
DACs with Internal Reference Include Reset to High
Impedance Outputs for Power Supply Margining
Linear Technology Corporation recently introduced the LTC®2635 quad 12-bit, 10-bit and 8-bit rail-to-rail digital-to-analog converters
(DACs), which integrate a precision 10ppm/°C reference in tiny 3mm x 3mm QFN and MSOP packages. In addition to offering power-
on reset to zero and mid-scale options, the LTC2635-L also includes ordering options for high impedance outputs at power-on reset
and during shutdown. This allows the DAC to be used in applications such as power supply margining where the DAC outputs must be
electrically isolated from the power supply at power-on, before being called to action to adjust supply voltages up and down.

Pricing begins at $2.03 in 1,000-piece quantities.

LTC2470 / LTC2472 - Selectable
250sps/1ksps, 16-Bit Delta Sigma ADCs
C onverters

with 10ppm/°C Max Precision Reference

Designed to measure single-ended or differential
sensors via an SPI serial interface.
Linear Technology Corporation recently introduced the LTC®2470 and LTC2472, a pair of 16-bit delta sigma ADCs that integrate a high
accuracy reference in tiny 3mm x 3mm DFN and 12-lead MSOP packages. The device’s integrated 1.25V reference offers 2ppm/°C drift
performance and 0.1% initial accuracy for precise measurements in space-constrained applications. Both ADCs provide guaranteed
16-bit no missing code resolution and selectable 250sps or 1ksps output rate. The LTC2470 and LTC2472 are ideal for system and
environmental monitoring and data acquisition systems requiring fast output rates.

Operating from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply, these ADCs are designed to measure single-ended (LTC2470) or differential (LTC2472)
sensors via an SPI serial interface. With its internal 1.25V reference, the LTC2470 can measure a single-ended input between 0V and
1.25V, while the LTC2472 is capable of measuring a differential input up to ±1.25V.

Pricing for the LTC2470 & LTC2472 begin at $1.70 each in 1,000-piece quantities.

CDRs accept a noisy, or high jitter signal, and output a low noise, or low jitter signal at the same data rate. By retiming and cleaning up
the signal, the CDR enables high speed, robust communications between ASICs and/or FPGAs.

ENABLING THE NEXT GENERATION OF LINECARD AND BACKPLANE APPLICATIONS

Gennum’s award winning portfolio of single and multi-channel CDRs enhance the reach of high-speed serial links by compensating for

Flash Microcontroller
Atmel’s new AVR XMEGA™ family brings 8/16-bit
microcontrollers up to a new level of system performance.
The new AVR XMEGA™ family from Atmel brings 8/16-bit microcontrollers up to a new level
of system performance. Increased focus on system performance is important because more
and more 8/16-bit microcontroller families do not meet today’s requirements. Requirements
for higher embedded performance combined with reduced cost, size and power
consumption mandate new microcontrollers designed especially to combine and offer all
these requirements in the best possible way. With AVR XMEGA, Atmel is the reference for
8/16-bit microcontrollers.

AVR XMEGA microcontrollers have the same acclaimed characteristics as the established
AVR devices, and operates from just 1.6 volt with up to 32 MIPS at 32 MHz. Memory size
range from 16 to 384 KB of Flash and they come in 44- to 100-pin packages. The XMEGA

Microcontrollers
MCUs offer Connectivity and TFT-LCD
Low-Cost 16- or 32-bit Flash MCU Does It All -- Drives a
TFT-LCD and Runs the Application.
Color TFT-LCD panels are finding their way into many embedded applications, enhancing the user interface and adding value to many products, including white goods,
thermostats, security panels, portable medical equipment, and exercise equipment. Light to medium graphic animation with a touch-screen interface cover most
requirements for these applications. Renesas offers the Direct-Drive LCD solution which uses a simple, low-cost Flash MCU to drive the TFT-LCD and touch-screen,
as well as running the remainder of the embedded application. The alternative is often to use a higher priced microprocessor system which runs at much higher
frequency. But for the level of animation used in these applications, the Direct-Drive LCD solution is most cost effective, very simple to use, consumes less power, and
has a smaller footprint on the PCB. H8S/2378 16-bit MCU

LTM2881 - Complete Isolated RS485/
RS422 μModule Transceiver + Power
Guards against large ground-to-ground differentials and
common mode transients.
The LTM®2881 is a complete galvanically isolated fullduplex RS485/RS422
μModule® transceiver. No external components are required. A single supply
powers both sides of the interface through an integrated, isolated, low noise,
efficient 5V output DC/DC converter.

Coupled inductors and an isolation power transformer provide 2500VRMS of

isolation between the line transceiver and the logic interface. This device is ideal
for systems where the ground loop is broken allowing for large common mode
voltage variation. Uninterrupted communication is guaranteed for common
mode transients greater than 30kV/μs.

Maximum data rates are 20Mbps or 250kbps in slew limited mode. Transmit
data, DI and receive data, RO, are implemented with event driven low jitter
processing. The receiver has a one-eighth unit load supporting up to 256 nodes
per bus. A logic supply pin allows easy interfacing with different logic levels from
1.62V to 5.5V, independent of the main supply.

Enhanced ESD protection allows this part to withstand up to ±15kV (human

body model) on the transceiver interface pins to isolated supplies and ±10kV
through the isolation barrier to logic supplies without latch-up or damage.

10A Fully Integrated Synchronous Buck
Regulator Featuring SuperThermal™
MOSFETs
Programmable from 400kHz to 2MHz — allowing the
customer to optimize designing either for efficiency or
for the smallest footprint.
The Micrel MIC22950 is a high efficiency 10A integrated switch synchronous buck (step-down) regulator. The MIC22950 switching
frequency is programmable from 400kHz to 2MHz, allowing the customer to optimize designing either for efficiency or for the smallest
footprint. The MIC22950 achieves more than 95% efficiency while still switching at 2MHz over a broad load range.

The ultra-high speed control loop keeps the output voltage within regulation, even under extreme transient load swings commonly found
in FPGAs and low voltage ASICs. The output voltage can be adjusted down to 0.7V in order to address all low voltage power needs.
The MIC22950 features a full range of sequencing and tracking options. The EN/DLY and the DELAY pins, combined with the POR/PG
pin, allow multiple outputs to be sequenced in several ways during turn on and turn off by using the EN pin. The RC (Ramp Control™)
pin allows the device to be connected to any another device in the MIC22x00 family of products, to keep the output voltages within a
certain delta V during start up.

The MIC22950 is available in a 32-pin 5mm x 5mm MLF® with a junction operating range from -40°C to +125°C.
