-Azreen asked her mother whether she wanted to

have Nasi Lemak for breakfast. However, her mother

said Madhuri had always prepared porridge for
breakfast and she would like to have that. Azreen
began cooking the porridge . She asked her mother to
taste it and her mother said it was as good as
Madhuris cooking. (Theme:Love/Care/ Responsibility)
-Awang was at the shack that held farming equipment
when the farm owner and his sons returned to find
the gate open and the bull missing. They scolded
Asraf who worked there, for his negligence. Out of
nowhere, Azreen came by and took the blame.
Everyone was shocked by her sudden confession but
before anything could be done, they heard the loud
crash of an incident. (Theme: Sacrifice/ Caring/
helping others)
-At the majlis bersanding, Noor had seen Cikgu Asraf
looking a Madhuri as if he was either about to
commit suicide or strangle Haji Ghani who was
marrying her. (Theme : Dislike / Jealousy)
-Old Lady was thought to be an evil witch who had
killed her husband a long time ago. She could turn
anyone who went near her house into squirrels or
rats and cook them for dinner. Azreen did not believe
a word of it. Therefore, she was challenged by her
classmates to see the Old Lady herself. Her
classmates followed her to the jungle and stood
outside while Azreen went up to the house. When the
door to the Old Ladys house creaked open, her
classmates immediately ran away. The Old Lady had
tried to chase Azreen away but Azreen told her that
she meant no harm and was only trying to prove that
the Old Lady was harmless. The Old Lady scolded
Azreen for trampling over her plants and told her to
get out. However, Azreen came back the next day and
repaired the damage she had done. From then on,
Azreen and the Old Lady became good friends. She
would visit the Old Lady twice a week or whenever
she had a huge fight with her parents.
-Puan Fatihah reflected on the day her husband, Haji
Ghani had seen Madhuri. Madhuri had been reciting a
poem at an event and Haji Ghani had been impressed
by her sweet lilting voice. A month later, he asked
Madhuris parents if he could marry Madhuri and
Saleh agreed. From that day on, Puan Fatihahs life
had changed and she felt everything had been
snatched away from her. Well, now it was time for
her to take it all back.
-Years ago, on the day of her mothers accident, Asraf
was being scolded by the farm owner and his sons for
leaving the farm gate open, causing the bull to escape.
Azreen who was walking past, heard the commotion
and took the blame for Asraf. She knew Azraf was
saving money to buy a motorbike and she did not
want him to be fired. So,she claimed responsibility for
leaving the gate open. Everyone was speechless.
Before anything else could happen, there was a loud
crash.Azreens father and mother were riding a
motorcycle and crashed into a bull. As a result, the
mother lost the use of her leg. Although Azreen was
caned by her father for her role in the accident, she
remained loyal to Asraf and did not tell anyone the
truth.
-The Old Lady told Azreen to tell her parents the truth
and not end up living an isolated life like herself.
When Azreen asked her what had happened to cause
her to live that way, the Old Lady said she had killed
her abusive husband while trying to defend herself.

As a result, everyone had called her a husband-killer

and she had moved into the jungle.
- Datuk Zulkifli and Datin Sharidah brought Azreens
mother a wheel chair. When they sent Azreen home
at the end of her foster programme. Azreens father
was mad about the gift and said Azreens foster
parents were only showing off. However, Azreen
defended their actions. Azreens father, seeing that
his wife liked the wheelchair and was more
comfortable in it, finally gave in.
-Haji Ghani and his wife. Puan Fatihah, who had
always been on good terms, had a loud argument.
Expensive plates had been thrown during the
argument. Apparently, Fatihah had been accused of
stealing Madhuris belongings and throwing the away.
-Puan Fatihah wanted to look for Awang. Years ago,
when Puan Fatihah had known that her husband had
fallen in love with Madhuri, she had gone to the
bomoh to get a charm to win her husband back but
had thrown the charm away. Now, she felt she could
no longer hold on to her husband. In fact, they just
had a big argument. As Puan Fatihah walked on, she
heard a sound behind her. A woman with long hair
and a pale face, who looked very much like Madhuri,
was coming towards her. Puan Fatihah fainted.
-Upon reaching her house, she saw Azareen waiting
for her in the rain. Azreen said she wanted to spend
the night at the Old Ladys house because it was too
quiet at her own house and there were too many
meories there that made her uncomfortable. The Old
Lady allowed her to stay.
-Asraf wanted to look for a cure for his grandmother.
The vegetable seller, Pak Huzaimi had ran out of
medicinal plants to sell as everything had been ruined
by the rain. There was, however, one place that Asraf
could go. It was the Old Ladys place.Asraf, seeing
that his grandmothers condition was deteriorating,
went to see the Old Lady. The Old Lady was
explaining to Azreen about how she had decided to
forgive her husband and move on and was contented
with life. Then she spotted Asraf at her gate. Azreen
dragged Asraf into the house. Asraf explained his
grandmothers condition to the Old Lady and asked
for some herbs. However, the Old Lady said that what
he wanted might not cure his grandmother. Azreen
asked the Old Lady to go back to the village and see
Asrafs grandmother herself. That way, the Old Lady
could prepare proper medicine for her. The Old Lady
did not want to go at first because she was still angry
with the way the villagers had treated her. However,
when Asraf begged her to come, she agreed.
