in ratio to the water depth. In the Dry-Sealed System this is achieved by allowing
hydrostatic pressure, acting on the outer sealing diaphragm, to be transmitted to the
primary diaphragm via the load transmitter. Diaphragm first stages have a number of
advantages over piston type first stages, especially when combined with Apeks Dry
Sealed System*. They offer outstanding gas flow, easy maintenance and adjustment
of interstage pressure, and a sealed mechanism totally protected from all types of
contamination and freezing.
*Apeks invented the first successful dry environmentally sealed system
and all our regulators intended for cold water use, have this
system as standard.

We are experts in the field of regulator technology. Apeks purpose built factory in Blackburn contains the complete process under one
roof. Our unique design, development, testing, manufacturing, plating, inspection and assembly facilities produce high quality, high
performance equipment. Such is our confidence in the quality and reliability of our manufactured equipment we offer a lifetime
guarantee. The XTX range has been developed to further enhance underwater enjoyment for all divers.
* To qualify for the CE mark, regulators must be less than 3.0 J/L at 50 metres, RMV.: 62.5 (2.5L x 25 Breaths/min), and for US Navy Group A the regulators WOB needs to be less than 1.4 J/L at 60 metres.

XTX40 Octopus
This octopus is based upon the XTX40 second stage (see page 6).
It includes left/right reversibility, cold water capability and the performance
you would expect from an Apeks pneumatically balanced valve.
Diver-adjustable venturi control.
The unit has a high visibility yellow front cover, yellow accent pieces and a
36 yellow hose.
XTX20 Octopus
This octopus is based upon the XTX20 second stage (see page 7).
It includes left/right reversibility and the performance you would expect from
an Apeks pneumatically balanced valve.
Diver-adjustable venturi control.
Designed for water temperatures above 50F (10C).
The unit has a high visibility yellow front cover, yellow accent pieces and a
36 yellow hose.
Pneumatically Balanced
The Balanced Spindle Mechanism can be set by your local dealer in either the
left or the right-hand configuration, depending on your individual preference.
Combining existing technology with new ensures maximum performance and
versatility, whilst retaining our world renowned reliability. The poppet valve
allows air to pass through its centre to a counter-balance cylinder, which assists
the spring to close the valve eliminating the need for a heavier valve spring
reducing the breathing effort.

XTX200
The flagship of the Apeks Regulator Range and the definitive blend of style
and high performance. Every detail has been carefully designed to offer a
high quality piece of equipment. From the attractive and hard wearing
finish through to its overall build quality, we believe that your
regulator should be as flexible as you are. The XTX 200
second stage retains our well proven combination of
diver adjustable venturi and cracking resistance
controls, with ergonomically designed venturi lever and
breathing resistance knob for ease of use. The XTX 200
also has the benefit of an additional micro adjustment
that allows each individual regulator to be altered during
XTX NITROX
We offer a range of regulators suitable for use with Nitrox and Oxygen (also known as oxygen
enriched air or EAN).
Standard Apeks regulators are suitable for use with oxygen enriched gases ( i.e. Nitrox etc.)
providing the oxygen content does NOT EXCEED 40%. For mixtures containing more than
40% Apeks offers Nitrox regulators specially made at our factory. This equipment is cleaned
and assembled in our purpose built class J (10,000) Clean Room using oxygen safe
components and lubricants and are suitable for
100% oxygen use. All first stages are available in
yoke (A) clamp or DIN fitting. Nitrox equipment
will be supplied in Europe in accordance with the
prEN 144-3 and prEN3949 when the texts are
published.

XTX40
The TX50 and ATX50 have been amongst the best performing regulators in the world. The XTX50 is even better than its
distinguished predecessors. XTX50 retains the diver adjustable breathing resistance including the Micro-adjustment and
features the new Reversible Venturi System (RVS). With this level of control it is possible to tune the regulator to your
personal breathing requirements. The heat exchanger system virtually eliminates the possibility of second stage freezing.
The dry sealed swivel turret first stage, finished in highly polished chrome, completes the regulator. This reliable first stage
is one of the most successful ever, consistently coming at the top in independent regulator reviews. The XTX50 regulator
gives top performance in all conditions due to its balanced first and second stages. Available in either A Clamp (yoke)
version or DIN.
