Sub: Permission to organize a national level two weeks Staff Development
Programme and sanctioning of Grant of Rs 5, 35,000/ request reg
With reference to the above subject cited, herewith we are enclosing the application form
to conduct Faculty development programme on ETHICAL HACKING AND CYBER
SECURITY in the month of April for two weeks i.e.16-04-2013 to 29-04-2013. We have
estimated the total expenditure required for conducting national level two weeks faculty
development programme amounting to Rs. 6,25,000/-. Out of this amount, our management has
accepted to contribute Rs.35, 000/- (Rupees thirty five thousand only) Hence I request you to
grant of Rs. 5, 90,000/- (Rupees five lakh ninty thousand only) from AICTE, New Delhi to
organize a national level two weeks faculty development programme from 16-04-2013 to 29-042013 at MLR Institute of Technology, Dundigal, Quthbullapur, Hyderabad 500 043, R.R.Dist.
Hence we are sending the proposal to conduct the Facuty Development Programme and
myself i.e. Dr. P. Bhaskara Reddy, Principal will act as a Convener for the proposed
programme.
In this regard we request you to kindly consider our application and sanction the grant to
organize the faculty development programme in our college premises.

Abstract
Ethical hacking is an important tool in many national security agencies and even
companies. An Ethical Hacker is usually employed with the organization and can be
trusted to undertake an attempt to penetrate networks and/or computer systems using the
same methods as a Hacker. The goal of the ethical hacker is to help the organization take
pre-emptive measures against malicious attacks by attacking the system himself; all the
while staying within legal limits. In order to become an Ethical Hacker or Security
Expert, one must think out of the box with the mentality that in order to catch a thief .
This programme is specifically designed to provide the right knowledge to the aspiring
Hacking and CyberSecurityenthusiasts. This programme will explore the various
means that an intruder has available to gain access to computer resources. It will
investigate weaknesses by discussing the theoretical background behind, and whenever
possible, actually performing the attack
Objective
To conduct workshops, training programmes, lectures and demonstrations to
develop advanced teaching and learning methods.
Competency in teaching newer subjects introduced in the curriculum of various
universities and colleges.
Research skills to enhance ability to publish articles, books.
Orientation to advance research qualifications such as M.Tech and PhD.
Orient faculty towards participating in conferences and seminars.
To create awareness about various faculty development activities happening
across the country.
To involve in publications and monographs facilitating knowledge in latest
subjects and teaching methods.
Participants will gain awareness about Latest Hacking Techniques & Tools.
Faculty will gain to access to latest technology like big data and cloud computing.
Regional and target audience are engineering and polytechnic college faculty
and industry professionals
