Phelps unhurt
in car crash
BALTIMORE: Olympic
swimming champion Michael
Phelps was involved in a traffic
accident in Baltimore,
Maryland, on Thursday, but
was not injured, police said.
The American swimmer was
driving one of the vehicles that
collided at an intersection at
about 9pm. The driver of the
other car was taken to a local
hospital as a precaution. Phelps’
two passengers were also
unhurt.
He was questioned by the
police, but they said alcohol
was not a factor.
