Come, all ye faithful,

joyful and triumphant

O come ye, O come ye,

to Bethlehem

Come and behold Him,

born the King of angels

O come, let us adore Him

O come, let us adore Him

O come, let us adore Him

Christ the Lord

Yea, Lord, we greet Thee,

born this happy morning

Jesus, to Thee be all glory given

Word of the Father,

now in flesh appearing

O come, let us adore Him

O come, let us adore Him

O come, let us adore Him

Christ the Lord

True God of true God,

Light from Light eternal

Humbly, He enters the virgins womb

Son of the Father,

begotten, not created

O come, let us adore Him

O come, let us adore Him

O come, let us adore Him

Christ the Lord

O come, let us adore Him

O come, let us adore Him

O come, let us adore Him

Christ the Lord

Come, All Ye Faithful

Hark! The herald angels sing

Glory to the newborn King;

Peace on earth and mercy mild,

God and sinners reconciled!

Joyful, all ye nations rise,

Join the triumph of the skies;

With thangelic host proclaim

Christ is born in Bethlehem!

Hark! The herald angels sing

Glory to the newborn King!

Christ, by highest Heavn adored;

Christ the everlasting Lord;

Late in time, behold Him come,

Ospring of a virgins womb.

Veiled in flesh the Godhead see;

Hail the incarnate Deity,

Pleased as man with men to dwell,

Jesus, our Emmanuel.

Hark! The herald angels sing

Glory to the newborn King!

Hail the heavn-born Prince of Peace!

Hail the Son of Righteousness!

Light and life to all He brings,

Risn with healing in His wings.

Mild He lays His glory by,

Born that man no more may die.

Born to raise the sons of earth,

Born to give them second birth.

Hark! The herald angels sing

Glory to the newborn King!

Advent Reading

Gods Promise: The Greatest Proof of All

Last week we lit the first advent candle. We

were reminded of the message of hope to a
struggling nation, the hope of Jesus our Savior.
This week we light the second advent candle,
and see Gods promise, the greatest proof of all.

Isaiah 7:10-14

Again the Lord spoke to Ahaz, Ask a sign of the

Lord your God; let it be deep as Sheol or high as
heaven. But Ahaz said, I will not ask, and I will
not put the Lord to the test.And he said, Hear
then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to
weary men, that you weary my God also?
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign.
Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and shall call his name Immanuel.

God sent the prophet Isaiah to Ahaz to calm his

fears of attack and he told Ahaz not to worry;
God would protect him. Ahaz was afraid to ask
God for a sign, but God wanted to give him a
sign. So God spoke through Isaiah and gave
Ahaz the greatest sign that has ever been given.

Ahaz had no idea what the sign meant, but

today we know that the virgin Isaiah spoke of
was Mary and her Son was Jesus, Immanuel,
God with us. God was giving the greatest sign,
that He was who he said he was. Jesus proved
that he was God when after dying on the cross,
he rose again from the dead, just as he said.

As we rejoice in the fulfilled promised of God;

we wait with assured hope for the promises of
God to be completed, and for Christ to come
again.

Come Thou long expected Jesus,

Born to set Thy people free;

From our fears and sins release us;

Let us find our rest in Thee.

Israels Strength and Consolation,

Hope of all the earth Thou art;

Dear Desire of every nation,

Joy of every longing heart.

Come Thou long expected Jesus,

Born to set Thy people free;

From our fears and sins release us;

Let us find our rest in Thee.

Israels Strength and Consolation,

Hope of all the earth Thou art;

Dear Desire of every nation,

Joy of every longing heart.

Come Thou long expected Jesus,

Born to set Thy people free;

From our fears and sins release us;

Let us find our rest in Thee.

Israels Strength and Consolation,

Hope of all the earth Thou art;

Dear Desire of every nation,

Joy of every longing heart.

Joy to those who long to see Thee

Dayspring from on high appear;

Come thou promised Rod of Jesse

of Thy birth we long to hear.

Oer the hills the angels singing

news, glad tidings of a birth;

Go to Him your praises ringing

Christ the Lord has come to earth.

Come to earth to taste our sadness

He whose glories knew no end;

By His life He brings us gladness

Our Redeemer, Shepherd, Friend.

Leaving riches without number

born within a cattle stall;

This the everlasting wonder,

Christ was born the Lord of all.

Born Thy people to deliver

born a child and yet a King;

Born to reign in us forever

Now Thy gracious Kingdom bring.

By Thine own eternal Spirit

Rule in all our hearts alone;

By Thine all sucient merit

Raise us to Thy glorious throne.

So, when our days are through

Our hope will rest in You

For we can trust

Your promises are true

Our only hope

Our only hope is You, Lord

Our only hope

Our only hope is You, Lord

The bridges we had burned

You have restored

You gave us hope

when there was none before

You paid the debt

that we could not aord

And cast away our guilt forevermore

The bridges we had burned

You have restored

You gave us hope

when there was none before

You paid the debt

that we could not aord

And cast away our guilt forevermore

So, when our days are through

Our hope will rest in You

For we can trust

Your promises are true

Our only hope

Our only hope is You, Lord

Our only hope

Our only hope is You.

Our Only Hope Is You

Rock of Ages, cleft for me

Let me hide myself in Thee

Let the water and the blood

From Thy wounded side which flowed

Be of sin the double cure

Save from wrath and make me pure

All the labors of my hands

Could not meet Thy laws demands

Could my zeal no respite know

Could my tears forever flow

All for sin could not atone

Thou must save, and Thou alone

Nothing in my hands I bring

Simply to Thy cross I cling

Naked come to Thee for dress

Helpless, look to Thee for grace

To Thy fountain, Lord, I fly

Wash me Savior or I die

While I draw this fleeting breath

When my eyes shall close in death

When I soar to worlds unknown

See Thee on Thy judgment throne

Rock of Ages, cleft for me

Let me hide myself in Thee

Rock of Ages, Cleft for Me
