In what way can philosophy or philosophical

thinking Contribute to the physical sciences ?

Greetings, my name is Antonio Alvarado , I am a psychologist and musician , I live in Mexico City , I have 35 years
and worked as an educational consultant. I invite you to visit my website and listen to my music
www.xumeztli.webcindario.com. Answering the question: In what way can philosophy or philosophical thinking
Contribute to the physical sciences ? I can argue the following:
As a psychologist I know that a person within a circumstance loses perspective of the situation, while someone
outside the situation or maintains neutral view of the situation , I will explain with an example , imagine a person in
the middle of a pool empty, this hypothetical person has only a partial view of the pool, depending on where you
look at the picture that will be present, ie if you do not look towards the ladder to get out can not find it, if there is a
pattern in the floor just behind her could not watch and even if there was some way on the floor perhaps might not
be unable to recognize the look at the whole , however, a standing outside the pool spectator has in view the
scenario, you can look at the hypothetical person in the pool and you can see the pool as a whole , provides where
the ladders out and be aware the shape of the figure from the background. Thus the person in the pool has a partial
view of the pool, as the viewer can see the big picture in perspective, may notice things that the protagonist can not
; science and philosophy happens the same, science is imbued within their field of development, thus has a partial
view of their own problems, while philosophy to be out of this situation has a perspective of performance and
problems of science, so that scientists who wish for more of goodwill may not be aware of the problems arising from
the work of making science and even less of the search for solutions, this responsibility lies in philosophy, as they
are the philosophers who are able to realize the problems that flow from the scientific work and propose solutions.
They are philosophers and philosophy the best qualified to undertake this task, if it is true that the arts can and
have criticized science lacks the tools for systematic criticism and proposed solutions. For example as a musician I
can possibly realize some physics problems from noise which is the field in which I develop , but the music itself
lacks the language and tools to describe those inherent in scientific work problems, then philosophers are those who
can systematically address these conflicts.
So philosophy is to be a neutral scientific discipline regarding work who can realize the problems that flow from the
scientific work and have the necessary tools philosophers can address these issues and try to not only study them
but resolve them. Is that philosophy gives us an understanding of scientific knowledge that science could ever give
us. Thereupon as it will not be that important, valuable and a way to contribute to the physical sciences.
Just my girlfriend was taking a course right here in Coursera and call my attention to the fact that the course is well
structured, well-developed materials and well -trained teachers, still did not seem like a good course for the human
and interaction was neglected, although a very simplified but it is an example of how science philosophers discussed
from a viewpoint that scientists have difficulty.
