ANNOUNCING OBJECTIVES:
The teacher tells the students they are having a lesson in which they will practice reported
speech.

AIM: to practice reported speech
PROCEDURE: For this activity Ss have a worksheet- a brochure about the facilities they
are supposed to find in a hotel . T explains they have to report what the travel agent said
about it.

ACTIVITY 2:SPEAKING(acting)- WRITING
AIM: - to encourage conversation (acting)
- to check the comprehension of written messages
PROCEDURES: T explains Ss that 2 of them are going to act a dialogue and then, in
groups, they have to report what one of the characters said writing sentences on sheets
of paper.
Ss listen to the dialogue and then report it working in groups..

ACTIVITY 3:WRITING (ERROR CORRECTION)
AIM : - to check the correct use of indirect speech
PROCEDURES: T asks Ss to look at the worksheet they have on their desks and do the
exercise. They have to correct some sentences

ACTIVITY 4 : READING-WRITING
AIMS:
PROCEDURES: T tells Ss they are going to read a dialogue about a famous singer- Colin
Boyle. Anna has just met him and she is telling her boyfriend, Ian, about the meeting, and
he wants to know exactly what Colin said to her, and what she said to him. Ss have to
write what Anna and Colin said. Ss are divided in groups.
