Baby Rew due in May

Angels Place
This month, we wanted to further our relationship with Angels Place. Dennis has been helping them
with maintenance work for 5 hours per month. This has opened opportunities to get to know the
workers and the children (although they are all under 5). Currently, there are 17 parents making use
of Angels Place as they attend school. The youngest of these parents is just 16! Often, the children
receive most of the attention when it comes to gifts for Christmas, etc. We had a desire to reach out
to the parents. We were able, with the help of some local businesses, to put together a small gift
basket of personal seasonal items as well as a Bible and literature just for these single moms (and 1
dad). We will be dropping them off today for their end of the year Christmas party. Pray that God
would use this to be a blessing to them, and allow the parents to be exposed to the Gospel.
Rake and Bake
About one month ago, we spent a Saturday raking leaves for people in the community. Several teens
from First Baptist-Limestone, First Baptist-Butler, and Springside Baptist, along with Pastor Rob
Ingmire came down to help us out. The congregation of First Baptist Limestone also made several
dozen plates of cookies to distribute, in addition to what Val and Elisabeth had made. We had a great
time just serving the neighbors here. We received a very positive email from one of the neighbors.
We are quickly realizing that what sets us apart from most of the other churches in the area is that we
do not accept donations. It saddens us that the church as a whole is no longer viewed as a group of
people that serve others, but a group that wants money. We pray that through continued loving
service, people will see the church as God intended it to be.
Bible distribution
So far, we have been able to pass out 21 Bibles, and have met a few people interested in our Sunday
meetings and Childrens Bible Hour that will start up in January.
Partners
Many hands make light work. It is so nice to have the help of Pete and Elisabeth. Pete continues to
work full-time at PNC Bank. God has opened the door for him to be involved in a special project job
over the last 8 months. Pray for him as he starts a new phase of this in January. Pete leads our Sunday
Bible Study on the 3rd Sunday each month. Elisabeth is always thinking of the needs of others and how
best to serve them. She organized and put together all the baskets for Angels Place. Pray for
continued opportunities for evangelism with their neighbors. Pete and Dennis have actually started
playing basketball with their neighbor Derek one night a week.
A Special Thank You
We want to thank the several churches and individuals who have sent a little bit extra financial
support over the last month. This has helped cover the costs of tracts, printed material, and a sign for
Childrens Bible Hour. It has been a great blessing and one we have been able to share with our
children as they begin to understand more and more about church planting.
