Immediate activities of
MNPC

Formulation of a Nuclear Power Regulatory


Infrastructure Development Plan (NPRIDP),
incorporating
a
review
of
multilateral
instruments relating to international nuclear
governance that Malaysia should sign and
ratify, or accede to, and the subsequent
implementation of the NPRIDP;
Formulation of a communications strategy and
plan on nuclear energy, incorporating a
comprehensive public opinion survey, and the
subsequent implementation of the strategy and
plan
(this activity will be spearheaded by the

Water, supported by other
organisations including MNPC)

Immediate activities of
MNPC

Formulation of a Nuclear Power Infrastructure


Development Plan (NPIDP) and subsequent
implementation of the NPIDP;
Undertaking
detailed
investigations
and
qualification of short-listed candidate nuclear
power plant sites in Peninsular Malaysia; and,
Undertaking a detailed Feasibility Study on the
first nuclear power project, incorporating the
preparation of bid documents to embark on the
project;
Facilitating the identification or establishment of
a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) that will own
and/or operate the nuclear power plant.
