Glory be to God on high

Let peace on earth descend

God comes down before our eyes

To Bethlehem

God invisible appears

Endless ages wrapped in years

He has come who cannot change

And Jesus is His name

Emptied of His majesty

He comes in human form

Beings source begins to be

And God is born

All our griefs Hell gladly share

All our sins Hell fully bear

He will cover our disgrace

And suer in our place

Let the joyful news ring out

The Prince of Peace proclaim

Lift your heart and voice to shout

Immanuels name

God has kept His promises

What a work of grace this is

Son of Mary, chosen One

The Lamb of God has come

Glory be to God on high

Let peace on earth descend

God comes down before our eyes

To Bethlehem

Angels we have heard on high

Sweetly singing oer the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.

Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Shepherds, why this jubilee?

Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be
Which inspire your heavnly song?

Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Come to Bethlehem and see

Him Whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee,
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.

Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel

Born is the King, Noel.

The first Noel

the angel did say,

Was to certain

poor shepherds
in fields where they lay;
In fields where they

lay keeping their sheep,

On a cold winters night
that was so deep.

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel

Born is the King of Israel.

They looked up

and saw a star

Shining in the east,

beyond them far,

And to the earth

it gave great light,

And so it continued

both day and night.

Born is the King of Israel.

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel.

Then let us all

with one accord

sing praises to our

heavenly Lord
That hath made heavn
and earth of naught,
And with His blood
mankind hath bought.

Last week we lit the third advent candle.

We were reminded of Gods promise fulfilled
in the birth of a king in Bethlehem. This
week we light the fourth advent candle, and
see Gods promise that salvation will come
through His servant.

Isaiah 42:1-7

Behold my servant, whom I uphold,

my chosen, in whom my soul delights;

I have put my Spirit upon him;

he will bring forth justice to the nations.

He will not cry aloud or lift up his voice,

or make it heard in the street;

a bruised reed he will not break,

and a faintly burning wick he will not

quench;

he will faithfully bring forth justice.

He will not grow faint or be discouraged

till he has established justice in the earth;

and the coastlands wait for his law.

Thus says God, the Lord,

who created the heavens and stretched

them out,

who spread out the earth and what

comes from it,

who gives breath to the people on it

and spirit to those who walk in it:

I am the Lord; I have called you in

righteousness;

I will take you by the hand and keep you;

I will give you as a covenant for the people,

a light for the nations,

to open the eyes that are blind,

to bring out the prisoners from the

dungeon,

from the prison those who sit in

darkness.

Isaiah prophesied that the Lords chosen

servant will open the eyes that are blind,
and not grow faint or be discourage till he has
established justice in the earth. Gods
promises are trustworthy and true. Jesus was
born of a virgin, became a king in the line of
David, had Gods Spirit rest on him, was
crushed for our sin, was buried in a right
mans tomb, and because he rose again from
the dead will return to judge the earth.

Gods plan to reach the nations, first revealed to

Abraham, then prophesied by Isaiah, and then
announced by Simeon, is fulfilled when Jesus
returns. We anticipate His return and see a
glimpse of this fulfillment from the apostle John
in Revelation 7:10. As people from every nation
are standing before the throne, crying out to
Jesus the Lamb, Salvation belongs to our God
who sits on the throne, and To him who sits on
the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and
honor and glory and might forever and ever!

O come, O come, Emmanuel

And ransom captive Israel

That mourns in lonely exile here

Until the Son of God appear

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel

Shall come to thee, O Israel!

O come, O come, Emmanuel

And ransom captive Israel

That mourns in lonely exile here

Until the Son of God appear

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel

Shall come to thee, O Israel!

O come, O come, Emmanuel

And ransom captive Israel

That mourns in lonely exile here

Until the Son of God appear

O come, Thou, Dayspring from on high

And cause Thy light on us to rise

Disperse the gloomy clouds of night

And death's dark shadow put to flight

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel!

O come, O come, true prophet of the

Lord And turn the key to heavens door
Be Thou our comforter and guide
And lead us to the Fathers side

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel

Shall by His Word our darkness dispel

O come, our great High Priest, and

intercede Thy sacrifice, our only plea
The judgment we no longer fear
Thy precious blood has brought us near
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel

Has banished every fear of hell

O Come, Thou King of nations, bring

An end to all our suering

Bid every pain and sorrow cease

And reign now as our Prince of Peace
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come again with us to dwell

O Come, O Come, Emmanuel

The Son of God came down

and laid aside His crown

Born without great renown,

this Sovereign One

All holiness and might,

all glory shining bright

Have come to earth this night

in Marys son

O come, let us adore

O Christ the Lord,

our hope and Savior

Son of God yet made like us

O Christ the Lord,

our King adored

Born a child, our Lord Jesus

Messiah born so small,

asleep in cattle stall

Come to redeem our fall,

nailed to a tree

This tiny, helpless child

through death would reconcile

The holy God and vile,

His grace so free

O come, let us adore

O Christ the Lord,

our hope and Savior

Son of God yet made like us

O Christ the Lord,

our King adored

Born a child, our Lord

O Christ the Lord,

our hope and Savior

Son of God yet made like us

O Christ the Lord,

our King adored

Born a child, our Lord Jesus

The Son of God Came Down

I hear the Savior say

Thy strength indeed is small
Child of weakness watch and pray
Find in me thine all in all

Jesus paid it all

All to him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

Lord now indeed I find

Thy power and thine alone
Can change the lepers spots
And melt the heart of stone

Jesus paid it all

All to him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

And when before the throne

I stand in him complete
Jesus died my soul to save
My lips shall still repeat

Jesus paid it all

All to him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
He washed it white as snow.
He washed it white as snow.

Oh praise the one

who paid my debt
and raised this life
up from the dead
(Repeat)

Oh praise the one

who paid my debt
and raised this life
up from the dead

Jesus paid it all

All to him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

Sin had left a crimson stain

He washed it white as snow

Jesus Paid It All
