1. Define positive feedback?
If the feedback signal is in phase with input signal, then the net effect of the
feedback will increase the input signal given to the amplifier. This type of feedback is
said to be positive or regenerative feedback.
2. Define negative feedback?
If the feedback signal is out of phase with the input signal then the input
voltage applied to the basic amplifier is decreased and correspondingly the output is
decreased. This type of feedback is known as negative or degenerative feedback.
3. Draw the block diagram of feedback amplifier?
4. What is meant by amplifier?
This amplifies the weak (small amplitude signal) signal, but no chance in frequency and
phase.
5. Define loop gain.

6. Define feedback factor.
Ratio of feedback output signal to input signal
7. Define open loop gain and closed loop gain.
Open loop gain is the voltage without feedback
Closed loop gain is the voltage gain with gain

And =0.01. Calculate the voltage gain Af, Rif, Rof of the amplifier with feedback.

2. An amplifier has a A = 400, f1 = 50HZ, f2 = 200KHZ and a distortion of 10% without
feedback. Determine the amplifier Af, f1f, f2f and Df when a negative feedback is
applied with feedback ratio of 0.01.
