INTRODUCTION
Bresar and Vukman[3] have introduced the notion of a reverse derivation and Samman and Alyamani [7] have
studied some properties of prime (or) semi prime rings with reverse derivations.Ajda Fosner [1] introduced the notion of
symmetric skew 3- derivations of prime or semiprime rings and proved that under certain conditions a prime ring with a
nonzero symmetric skew 3- derivation has to be commutative.
Preliminaries
Throughout the paper,

Before stating our main theorem, let us give some basic definitions and well known results which we will need in
our further investigation.

Let

be a symmetric 3- additive map of

, then obviously,
(1)

Namely, for all

, the map

The map

is an endomorphism of the additive group of

defined by

Note that is not additive on

Recall also that by(1),

is called a trace of

, we have

is an odd function.

More precisely, for all

.
Of course, if

is symmetric, then the above three relations are equivalent to each other.

MAIN RESULTS
To prove the main theorem, first we prove the following lemma.

Prime Ring with Symmetric Skew 3 - Reverse Derivation

Proof: By the linearization of (2), we obtain,

Replace

by

and comparing so obtained result with the above relation, we get,

, for all

Replacing

by

and using (2), we get,

(3)

If we write

instead of

in (3), we obtain,

, for all
Thus by Lemma 1,it follows that
So, let

and

. Obviously,

, for all

. Moreover, we will show that this is true for all

, we have,
(4)

On the other hand,

(5)
By comparing (4) & (5), we have,

(6)
Replacing

by

, we get,

From (6), we have,

It remains to prove that (8) holds for all
