29. ChiTRam chiru kaalE ... the lotus feet of the Lord,
the object of Andal's worship and the purpose of the
nombu is revealed. Andal wants 1. To be with the Lord
in seven-upon-seven births 2. Serve Him and Him
alone 3. All of her any other desires (and those of her
friends) to be changed to the desire to serve the Lord.

The scene at the Parama padam with Andal united with Her Lord. This is also the
blissful union that she wishes and guarantees to all those who chant Her 30
pasurams, written in simple Sangat Tamizh that even young girls (without much
formal education) can follow.

As a young girl, Andal used to make garlands daily which were taken to the
temple (at Srivilliputtoor) by her father Periyazhwar. The deity of the temple
is Vataparta shaayi Bala Mukunda and hence Vatapatra shaayi Govindaa
and Bala Mukunda Govindaa are very auspicious and appropriate additions
to the Govinda Namaavali that we chant regularly. His Holiness Srimath
Gopaladesika Mahadesikan has pointed this out in his commentary on
pasuram 30, line 4...that Kodhai made garlands for Vatapatrashaayin who
grants moksha and Her Thiruppavai is also destined to grant all living beings
mokha (paRai) The Vatapatra shaayi Bala Mukunda was seen by the sage
Markandeya when he experienced pralaya (the Lord's maaya as he had
wanted to understand). Sage Markandeya is depicted at the feet of the Lord at
Srivilliputtoor temple.
