The eCADFEM activation on static IP-Address requires a local installation of an ANSYSLIServer (ALI). This ALI can be installed on a client machine or a central server.
Launching ANSYS15, the transmission of IP-addresses was changed, and customers with IPdial-in were not able to use eCADFEM with this release. The installation of the new V15-LM1 is
now to provide the full access to eCADFEM again, also dialing in with IP. It is mandatory to set
the argument "ANSYSLI_IP_OVERRIDE" inside the "ansyslmd.ini" file.
This variable must be set on the first ANSYSLI-Server, which is used for the eCADFEM
access. This is necessary to cache the licenses on the eCADFEM Server successfully.
After installation of the LM1, the ansysli_server.log file shows the release number:
ANSYS Licensing Interconnect version 1.4.1 LM1 (20140107) for winx64

Having set the option "ANSYSLI_IP_OVERRIDE correctly, you can verify the entry in the
ansysli_server.log file. The following line must appear:

The following scenarios describe three different configurations:
1. Customers without own license server:
The ALI - LM1 must be installed on the client (without FlexLM) and the argument
ANSYSLI_IP_OVERRIDE must be added in the ansyslmd.ini. The ansyslmd.ini
should exactly look like the following:

ANSYSLI_SERVERS=2325@<local hostname>
ANSYSLI_SERVERS=2325@portal.ecadfem.com

* The argument <local hostname> must be replaced by the hostname of the local system.

2. Customers with own license server and without ALI on the client:
The ALI - LM1 must be installed on the license server and the ansyslmd.ini must contain the
argument ANSYSLI_IP_OVERRIDE. The ansyslmd.ini should exactly look like the following:
Server:

3. Customers with own license server and with ALI on the client:
The ALI - LM1 must be installed on the client machine and the ansyslmd.ini must contain the
argument ANSYSLI_IP_OVERRIDE. Setting this argument on the server is not necessary. The
ansyslmd.ini should exactly look like the following:
