Placing Geometric
Data of Foundation
In this activity you will;
Make New Structure.
& Before making new structure, be sure the AFES Program is
installed and running to your computer. Click File menu then
select New/Open Project or just click
button.
Choose Code and input unit to use. Example, ACI_IMP
American Concrete Institute Code with Imperial as input unit.
Note that all available output is in Imperial unit.
Add New Node.
& Node represents the number of pier or pedestal regardless of
the number of footings.
Before you start this activity, you must be in the ACI_IMP project.

2/58

& After opening ACI_IMP project, select Setting of Constant

command by clicking
button.
Choose Set Default Data button to set proper values to be used in
the design of foundation. Click Save button and close the Setting of
Constant Window after setting values.
