A. Introduction
The Philippines is one of the most visited tourism spot in Asia because of it's beautiful
sites and nature views. It's tropical climate is also plus factor to visit by western people
during summer. There's a lot of activities and discoveries that can be enjoy by many
people in the Philippines. It's not just the place but also the Pinoy Food factor and
attraction is also contributing in tourism industry in the country. Philippine Government
sees tourism as a major help to uplift our economic status so they now promoting the
"it's more fun in the Philippines" in all nation of the world.
One of the most famous and enjoyable place to visit is the Tagaytay City who has so
many beautiful places and nature views. One is the Tagaytay Picnic Grove which is so
beautiful, the overview of Taal Volcano and it's climate is the primary great experience to
try in this place. Tagaytay Picnic Grove is visited by numerous tourist every year and
mostly during summer. It is a best place to enjoy your special day with family, love ones
and friends with some exciting fun and activities.
Yes Tagaytay Picnic Grove is well known tourism spot in the Philippines but there's
more to improve in this place for more guest satisfaction and also for financial benefit of
the country. This study shows how can this place improve in terms of facilities and
amenities. We're looking to establish a Hot Air Balloon Restaurant inside Tagaytay
Picnic Grove as primary factor to the develop the place and also as our customer and
clients enjoyment and satisfaction.
In line to this project, we're also come up to primary factors accompanied in establishing
this kind of project such as accessibility, safety and security and waste management for
our customer and clients satisfaction.
General background of the Tagaytay city will be presented here, it's climate,
temperature, history and people to provide the reader with necessary facts for further
understanding of the situation in city of Tagaytay.
Tagaytay City has a more moderate version of a tropical monsoon climate characterized
by relatively milder temperatures compared to Manila, lower humidity and abundant
rainfall. The City has an average temperature of 24 C (75 F). With its high elevation,
the city could be misty at times and is relatively cooler during the months of December,
January and February. Like most areas in the province of Cavite, the city has two
pronounced seasons: dry from November to April and wet during the rest of the year.
The climate has made the city ideal for sports, picnics, conferences, honeymoons,
country homes, and spiritual retreats.
Humidity
Tagaytay has an average humidity of 78% which makes the city cooler than Metro
Manila where relative humidity exceeds 81%. Northeasterly winds prevail in the City
from October to April. Winds come from southwest from May to September. The cool
Tagaytay breeze has made the city ideal for casual and competitive kite flying.
History
Picnic Grove was cleaned-up and refurbished. On December 22, 1980, the City
Government turned-over the management of Picnic Grove to the National Government
through the Department of Tourisms and HSDC/SIDCOR/PTA. Last 23 December
2005, after twenty five (25) years of managing the Picnic Grove, the Department of
Tourism turned-over the management back to the City Government.
The facility is located at Brgy. Sungay East, Tagaytay City and is owned and operated
by the City Government of Tagaytay. The area is about 13 hectares which is divided into
red, blue, orange, yellow and view deck areas. Red area is adjacent to an open field,
while blue is the area connecting to the Adventure Eco-trail. The trail is approximately
390 m long or about 15minutes walking from view deck to blue area.

Waste management
Our experience in the industry has led us to develop fully integrated services that allow
any size restaurant to control costs, raise recycling rates, increase diversion and
enhance their green image.
From training front-line crews in proper recycling procedures, to managing your wasterelated health, safety and regulatory compliance issues, Waste Management brings
proven environmental solutions to your table. And, because of our vast infrastructure,
were able to offer our customers a wide array of environmental services with singlepoint-of-contact simplicity.
The restaurant industry is trending toward a more sustainable image. Its time to move
your company beyond basic recycling and generic green messages to a customized
program that delivers real environmental and financial benefits.
Sanitation
The City is linked by national highways to the Metropolitan Manila Area and to the
provinces of Batangas and Laguna. It is also connected by secondary roads to the
adjoining municipalities of Amadeo, Mendez, Indang, Silang and Alfonso in Cavite
towards the northwest, and to the cities of Calamba and Santa Rosa in Laguna in the
northeast and to the town of Talisay in Batangas in the south.
Tagaytay is roughly about two hours drive from Manila via the South Luzon Expressway
depending on the traffic, exiting at Santa Rosa then via Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road. It
can also be reached via the Coastal Road Expressway and then taking Aguinaldo
Highway heading south towards Tagaytay.
By public transportation, there are buses that ply to Tagaytay from Manila on a daily
basis. Several bus companies have their terminals in Cubao, EDSA, Pasay, and at
Baclaran, below LRT, Manila. Jeepneys that ply from Cavite (Imus, Dasmarinas, Silang)
to Nasugbu, Batangas also pass by Tagaytay via the Aguinaldo Highway.
From Batangas, the best way to reach Tagaytay is to head to Talisay, Batangas, then go
up to Tagaytay via the 12-kilometre (7.5 mi) Tagaytay-Talisay Road, which ends at the
Tagaytay City Circle. From Laguna, one may head to Santa Rosa, Laguna and take the
Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road.
In 2011, cable car and funicular rides are already available to transport guests to
different parts of the Tagaytay Highlands
On-going Projects
Over the years many projects have developed in Tagaytay picnic groove.
This was never our intention, as we only intended to build a more attractive
park.
Our Projects grew naturally, as we saw that it may attract many tourists that
will help increase the number of tourists visiting Tagaytay.
Floating Restaurants
These are hot air balloons with a restaurant on it. People who want to
experience dinning in the air may try this.
We buy Hot Air Balloons for our restaurants on Bob Builders Hot Air Balloons
in Pampanga. We hired facilitators who check the situation of the Floating
Restaurants everyday before operating. We currently have 50 Floating
Restaurants.
The people who work for us are paid monthly. This is a very successful, and
our longest running program as of now.

HEALTH PROJECTS
Foods that are serve were all fresh from the market and all our products our
approved by the DFAD.
WASTEMANAGEMENT
This project conducts seminar on proper waste segregation, strictimplementation of waste segregation, day-by-day collection of garbage to
maintain cleanliness of the area and to prevent gems from contaminating our
foods that may cause disease.
Picnic Grove is near in Manila making the tourists attracted from its
proximity. And it is located where it can easily be seen so it is
very accessible.
It is also well-known to public and owned by the city government of
Tagaytay. In addition.
It is the biggest place in Tagaytay.
It is eco-friendly meaning the usage of plastic materials is strictly
prohibited as well as Styrofoam. Tagaytay Picnic Grove use plastics that
are eco-friendly and they implement a No Smoking policy within some
severe injuries, duty personnel refer the patient to hospital of choice for
proper order.
They do not have enough trash bins in the area
Even though they are under the government, for us, it is still their main
weakness because whenever they have future projects and development
plan, it is up to the city government if they will approve it or not. Example
of their future projects is improvement of grounds and renovation of
picnic huts.
In our groups perception, we think that their manpower ability and unity
arent really working at the moment because as stated in problems, they
do not have employees on sight that you can ask assistance to. From this,
it may result to disappointment from the visitors and not to come back to
the place.
During rainy season, only few people visits the Picnic Grove.
OPPORTUNITIES
THREATS
Since it is an open field, it is prone to natural disasters and can get easily
harmful bugs.
They have no carrying Capacity. This means there is a higher risk of
and revenue.
There are a lot of emerging destinations in Tagaytay and these
destinations could be Picnic Groves potential competitors
