Georgia Open Records law.

Dear Mr. Daniel:
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 50-18-70 et seq., this letter constitutes a formal request to inspect
and/or copy certain public records.
Records requested for inspection shall include but not be limited to public records, meaning
documents, papers, letters, maps, books, emails, contracts, tapes, photographs or similar
material prepared and maintained or received in the course of the operation of University
System of Georgia.
In particular, this request asks for the following specific records:

1. All email communication between Sr. Vice Chancellor Tom Daniel and Valdosta
State Director of Government Affairs Philip Allen, and/or any other Valdosta State
University personnel, that discusses Mark George (of Valdosta State University) and/or
the Mary Turner Project (from July 11, 2014 to present).
2. All email communication involving Sr. Vice Chancellor Tom Daniels and any party
whatsoever that discusses Mark George (of Valdosta State University) and/or the Mary
Turner Project, from July 11, 2014 to present.
I request that these email be transmitted to me via email in order to be environmentally
responsible and to save copying costs.
If this request is denied in whole or in part, we ask that you cite in writing the specific
statutory exemption upon which you have relied, as required by law. We also ask that you
release all separate portions of otherwise exempt material. Please waive any costs
associated with this request, or first inform me of such costs as required by Georgia law. As
you know, the Law requires a response by you within three business days of your receipt of
this letter and provides sanctions for non-compliance.
