Introduction:
During the time of early Christians, you can see clear differences between a
Christian and a non-Christian, the first difference that points to you from afar is the
manner of dressing amidst them, of which Paul and Peter attest to. Christ-likeness is
what you see and lay hold of in their lives, if you draw closer to them.
Unfortunately, in these days some Christians have invented strange ways of
dressing, and this have spread like the gospel. Exposing of body structures, wearing
short-skirts, short-gowns, strange trousers, body hugs, use of expensive makeovers, jewelries (1 Tim 2:9-10), perfumes, strange hair-styles and etc, in the
gatherings and on the pulpits. These were not part of the church before, but
introduce to seduce Christians to commit sexual immorality (Rev 2:20) and
patronize this type of dress life as though is not harmful.
Instead let godliness consume us and be seen in the way we dress. Dressing to
please God, not man (Col 3:17&23, Gal 1:10) should be our core motive. As we
study today, may God opens our hearts to the truth (John 8:32), in Jesuss name,
Amen.

Discussion:
Is God really concerns about our dress life? Gen 3:7&21, Zeph1:8, Ezra 3:10, Esther
5:1.
Why do we dress? to expose our nakedness or cover it? Gen 3:21, Exo28:2&42-43,
Gen 9:20-23.
Does nature reveals anything about dress life?

Fowls have feathers,

Fishes have scales,
Bark protects the Tree,
Ozone-layer protects Biosphere (earth) from Global warming,
Skin protects inner organs from damage,
Three or two layers (ectocarp, mesocarp and endocarp) protect the seed of
most fruits e.g Coconut, Mango, Orange, Pineapple.
Any expose surface is naturally contaminated with microbes.

Some said they dress to please man or themselves, in our dress life should we
please men or self or God? Eze38:40-44, Col 3:17&23, Gal1:10, Gal 3:3, 1 Peter 3:34, Matt 14:6, 1 Peter 2:9-11.
Is there a link between our dress life and eternity? Zep 1:8, Rev 3:5&18,

Modest apparel

speak
soul-wining

Praise for modesty, listen to them

What does our dress life represents? Gen 38:14-21, Exo28:2-3, Prov7:10, Esther 5:1,
Zec 3:3.
Reflection:

Put on Christ! (Rom13:14), will you? Or is there anything better than him?
Conclusion:
(Eph 2:6) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly
places in Christ Jesus. This is one of Pauls revelations to us who have believed in
the gospel of Christ. The scripture defines who are and our position in God. If really
we were raised up by grace and by grace we sit, let us sit with humility and fear of
God and not with seductive and strange dress life, but a new life created in Christ
Jesus unto good works (Eph 2:10) which is in the sight of God a great price (1
Peter3:4).

Think for on these things:

If God make for them COATS OF SKINS before they left the garden, will He
receive them in skimpy and seductive dresses while they are coming back to
the garden (heaven)?

If Ham generation was cursed because he did not think it appropriate to

cover his fathers nakedness (which is like his nakedness), what will be our lot
if we expose our nakedness? Let be like Sham and Japheth in covering it with
fear pls! Gen 9:23.

If Moses was instructed by God to pull his sandals because of His Holiness
(Exo 3:5) which he did, can we also drop that strange dress life? Or do we
think God is silence about the way we dress? He is speaking but we refused
to listen, only that we want to gratify our flesh and lust.

If Joshua was prevented for filthy garment? How much more us.Zec3:3.

All the ladies that became Solomons wives or concubines, what do you think
each of them would have done just to be enlisted? Surely it will be the power
of dress and make-overs in the light of seduction. We know that even this
turn his heart away from God.

Ask the angels how they dress, Eze1:11&23(cover everywhere). Remember

we are made a little lower than them. If they cover everywhere, should we
expose everywhere?

So many Christian sisters never forget to put their maker-overs in their bags
but forgot often times to put the word of God in their bags.

Also Christian sisters can severally add make-overs on their faces within an
hour even automatically remind themselves, but will not remind themselves
to add the word of God, THE BEST MAKE-OVER IN THE WORLD, to their lives.
Have you forgotten? 2 peter 1:5-8, please be reminded!

In Rev 6:11, white robes was given to them not white mini and short dresses,
will He give those that wear dresses with expose cleavage, chest, muscle,
breast, and laps white robes? Judge ye!
