EXCEPTIONS: essayer [to try]> stem = essaier, payer [to pay]> paier, balayer [to sweep] > balaier, BUT envoyer [to send] > enverr etc.

3rd group:
1. For RE ending verbs we remove E and add the above endings. E.g. Il prendra ; Nous descendrons etc.
2. For IR ending verbs the Stem is the infinitive form of the verb. E.g. Vous sortirez ; Ils ouvriront etc. [some exceptions exist]

POUVOIR/DEVOIR
There is no imperative for POUVOIR/DEVOIR
Suivez lexemple:
I do/ I am doing prsent - [Je fais],
I shall/will do futur [Je ferai],
I am going to do futur proche [Je vais faire],
I had done PQP [Javais fait],
I would do prsent du conditionnel [Je ferais],
Doing participe prsent [faisant],
Do/do/lets do impratif [fais, faites, faisons]
Imparfait:
CER verbs
Commencer, placer, annoncer, bercer [to rock/sway]
C when followed by the vowels a, o & u has a hard sound like in car whereas when it is followed by e & i , it has a soft sound
like in certain.
So whenever C is followed by a, o or u in the conjugation of CER verbs we add a cedille to c i. e. to soften the sound.
Prsent: Nous plaons
Imparfait:
E*ER verbs
Acheter [to buy], peser [to weigh], lever [to raise], mener [to lead], and verbs derived from these four root verbs like
se lever [to get up], se promener [to take a walk], amener [to bring sb], emmener [to take sb away]
In case of the the above verbs we use accent grave on the first e in the following 4 areas
- Present tense except for Nous and Vous.
- Imperative for Tu.
- Future tense for all subject pronouns.
- Conditional present for all subject pronouns.
E. g.: Acheter
Jachte, Tu achtes, Il/Elle achte, Nous achetons, Vous achetez, Ils/Elles achtent.
Achte, Achetons, Achetez
Jachterai, Tu achteras, Il/Elle achtera, Nous achterons, Vous achterez, Ils/Elles achteront
Jachterais, Tu achterais, Il/Elle achterait, Nous achterions, Vous achteriez, ls/Elles achteraient
* With verbs: clbrer [to celebrate], complter [to complete], esprer [to hope], prfrer [to prefer], sinquiter [to worry]
same rule as above is followed except in future tense where accent aig [] is used
ETER, ELER verbs
Jeter [to throw], appeler [to call], and verbs derived from these root verbs like sappeler [to call one self], se rappeler [to remember]
In case of the the above verbs we use double t or l in the same 4 areas as above:
e.g. : sappeler Je mappelle, Tu tappelles, Il/Elle sappelle, Nous nous appelons, Vous vous appelez, Ils/Elles sappellent.
Appelle-toi, Appelons-nous, Appelez-vous
Je mappellerai, Tu tappelleras, Il/Elle sappellera, Nous nous appellerons, Vous vous appellerez, Ils sappelleront.
Je mappellerais, Tu tappellerais, Il/Elle sappellerait, Nous nous appellerions, Vous vous appelleriez,
Ils sappelleraient.
YER verbs
balayer [to sweep], nettoyer [to clean], envoyer* [to send], essuyer [to wipe], appuyer sur [to press ], aboyer [to bark], payer [to pay]
essayer de [to try to], sennuyer [to be bored],
In case of the YER verbs Y is replaced by I in the same 4 areas as above:
E.g. : balayer:
Je balaie, Tu balaies, Il/Elle balaie, Nous balayons, Vous balayez, Ils/Elles balaient.
- Balaie, Ne balaie pas, Balayons, Balayez
- Je balaierai, Tu balaieras, Il/Elle balaiera, Nous balaierons, Vous balaierez, Ils/Elles balaieront.
- Je balaierais, Tu balaierais, Il/Elle balaierait, Nous balaierions, Vous balaieriez, Ils/Elles balaieraient.
IMP: 1. All AYER ending verbs like payer, balayer, essayer may also be conjugated normally with the Y intact.
e. g.: Je paye, Tu payeras, Paye! etc.
2. The future stem for envoyer is different : enverr
In all the other cases the above verbs will act as normal 1st group verbs. Like past participle of payer = pay etc.
