Who is qualified for Australian Scholarship

Diploma and undergraduate Programs:

x Any applicant who has completed 12 years of In the old Ethiopian
curriculum, grade 12 ESLCE completion
x In the new Ethiopian curriculum, grade 10 EGSLCE completion and 2
years preparatory completion or 10+2 TVET certificate
x Who took IELTS test, an English proficiency test given in The British
Council, Addis Ababa.
Post Graduate Programs:
x Any applicant who has a university degree (for Masters Courses), or a
Masters Degree (for PhD Courses)
x Who took IELTS test, an English proficiency test given in The British
Council, Addis Ababa.

IELTS Requirement

Diploma Program:
x For those who scored 5.5 in IELTS they can directly join the school
without any English course in Australia
x For those who scored less than 5.0, a 10 week intensive course will be
given at the college in Australia.
x For those who scored 4.5, a 20 week intensive course will be given at
the college in Australia.
x For those who scored 4.0, a 30 week intensive course will be given at
the institutes in Australia.
x The fee for the language course is AUS$300.00/ week. It is strongly
recommended to score 5.5 in IELTS test to avoid more payment.
Undergraduate Program:
x For those who scored 6.0 in IELTS they can directly join the school
without any English course in Australia
x For those who scored less than 5.5, a 10 week intensive course will be
given at the college in Australia.
x For those who scored 5.0, a 20 week intensive course will be given at
the college in Australia.
x For those who scored 4.5, a 30 week intensive course will be given at
the institutes in Australia.
x The fee for the language course is AUS$375.00/ week.

What kind of education is available in Australia?

x We will arrange all fields in Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Masters,
Research Masters, and PhD level in different institutes.

What Kind of Visa will be issues?

x We will process a student visa with permission to work for any
applicant.

How much is the payment?

x AUS$4,000.00 is the service charge for Cedar International. This
charge includes Education provider arrangement in Australia,
Document preparation for visa application and submission, and
submission of visa application to Australian High Commission in
Nairobi, Kenya and follow up of the processing.
x Tuition fee (one semester) for Diploma courses, Average
AUS$4,900.00 to AUS $5,300.00
x Tuition fee (one semester) for Undergraduate courses, Average
AUS$5,500.00 to AUS $7,000.00
x Tuition fee (one semester) for Post Graduate courses, Average
AUS$9,000.00 to AUS $13,000.00
x Visa Application Fee $405.00
x Student Health Cover ( average from AUS$800.00 – 2,000.00 per
person)

What is the payment terms and mechanisms?

For Cedar International:

x AUS $200.00 upon submission of first phase visa application to the
Australian High Commission, Nairobi, Kenya.
x AUS $1,900.00 upon request of passport by the Australian High
Commission for Visa evidencing.
x AUS $1,900.00 upon collection of passport from CIS or Australian High
Commission, or Currier office.
For The Education provider:
x The first semester tuition fee along with Health cover will be paid
directly for the school after The Australian High Commission approves
the visa application and request the applicant to make the payment
directly for the school.
Is there any other requirement?
x Upon submitting the visa application to Australian Embassy, the
applicant needs to show a bank statement with a minimum balance of
AUS$ 50,000.00 (Three month statement). The statement can be by
the applicant name, relatives or sponsors who are willing to show the
same and stating they will support the applicant. The statement can be
from Ethiopian bank or any other foreign bank.
How long does it take?
x The process will take 3-4 months from the date of submitting IELTS
test result to our office.
What will happen if there is no relative or friend in
Australia?
x If the applicant does not have any relative or a friend to provide
assistance when the applicant arrives, our office in Melbourne will
facilitate pick up from airport, accommodation, and even a job if
requested by the applicant. We guarantee the safety and adaptability
of the applicant with the new atmosphere.
What are the documentations required to start the
application process?
x A school application form (filled), the form is available in our office.
x A signed agreement form with our company
x Passport Copy (Certified Copy by Immigration or any relevant
government office)
x 6 passport size photographs
x A copy of educational documents authenticated by Ethiopian
government institute (i.e., Ministry of education, Sub City Education
office, etc)
