Operation
The Model FH Hydrostatic Packer is set by
pressurizing the string to obtain a pressure
differential in the packer. Temporary plugging
below the packer is necessary.
Plugging is typically done with a Pressurization
Sub, E-Hydro-Trip Sub, Sliding Sleeve or Landing
Nipple used with Blanking Plug or another
Hydraulic Setting Device.
If more than one packer is to be lowered, it is
necessary to plug below the lowest packer.
When pressurizing the string, all packers will be
simultaneously set.
Individually setting multiple FH packers in a
string can also be achieved by setting the shear
screws appropriately per each packer.
