My mother has a fear of snakes. Just a picture
in a book will give her nightmares. You may know
others with fears of water, spiders, heights, etc.

I read last night of a man who is afraid
to walk through an open door. A closed door or
partially open door, he is fine. He pushes it open and
walks through. But come to a completely open door?
He cant move at all. His brother became so frustrated
by all this he would often say, If you dont quit this
silly thing, Im going to lock you in a room with all
the doors open.


I love that phrase locked in a room with all
the doors open. Some churches can be like that. They
have open doors all around, but are afraid to move.
Im glad we are not like that.

CHILDRENS MINISTRY

At the end of this past year the Lord led April Mullins
to a new job opportunity. We were very honored by
April, and we cherished her 12 years of sacrifice,
love, and service at Eastmont. Now we are grateful to
welcome Karen Bush to our staff as she continues her
legacy of service and love to Eastmont. Karen, we are
glad to have you aboard!

Childrens Missions Explosion

Hillcrest Baptist Church in Enterprise.
Bus leaves church at 6:30 AM and returns 5:00 PM
Cost is $10 and includes lunch

God has opened some amazing doors for us
over the years. Never once have you allowed fear to
turn us back.

Timothy Time

Our most recent open door is in the form of
a church wide study. We asked our Sunday School
classes to study a book together. Last Sunday we
launched I Am A Church Member. How did we
do? Over 920 in Sunday School. Thats almost 100
above our average. What a great start. Over the next
six weeks we are going to be challenged to rethink
and rediscover church membership. Im glad to be
walking through this door with you.

Children/Preschool Sunday School Teachers

Thank you teachers for leading your flock.
You are the most influential servants at Eastmont.
Each week you give hope, help, and healing in Christ
name. You then send those class members out to
show Jesus to others. From bed babies to bifocals you
make a kingdom difference.

Bonus Teaching Hour (both worship services), Sunday
School, Team Kid, and Timothy Time. We are currently
in need of people that love God and want to share His

Fear not! Over 365 times God sent that
message to us through the Bible. Thats one for every
day of the year!

I am looking forward to this Sunday with
you. Three more will be baptized. I am always blessed
when people have been saved & then share
it publicly.

Eastmont VBS

5 PM on Sundays, for 1st-6th in the fellowship hall. For

our preschoolers we have Team Kid during the same hour.
Our Sunday School teachers that teach in our Preschool
and Childrens areas are meeting at 8:10 a.m. in room 300,
4 p.m. in the north wing of the fellowship hall, or 5 p.m.
in room 122 on Sundays. Our goal is to connect, grow,
and create ways to live out, I am an Eastmont Church
Member. Pray for our teachers as we come together to be
intentional in being the Church.

The Cross Conference Simulcast - February 27

A missions conference for college students to take the

Gospel to the unreached peoples of the world. Speakers
include David Platt and John Piper.
