Enduring Understanding/Big Idea:

The students should be able ask and answer questions about someone's daily routine and what they are doing at the
present moment.

Essential Questions:
1. How does forming a sentence about performing an action on oneself in Spanish differ from English?
2. How do reflexive verbs change the meaning of their non-reflexive root?
3. What is the difference between describing what someone does and what the person is doing in an exact moment?
4. How can present progressive and transition words be used to tell the sequence of events?

Stage 2----Assessment Evidence

Unit Assessments:

The students will complete multiple homework assignments as the difficulty of the concepts progress. The formative
assessments will show the level of comprehension of how to use reflexive verbs correctly and to what level of
complexity. Students will be given quizzes on: vocabulary, reflexive verbs, present progressive, and all verb conjugations
with pronouns. At the end of the unit students will begin preparing for their Speaking Final, which includes asking and
answering questions using reflexive verbs and daily routine vocabulary. Their ability to effectively ask and answer
questions about daily routines will be factored into their Final Exam score and overall semester grade.

will take place.

Resources and Materials

Students will need their packet, which includes the new vocabulary list attached to the unit 2.2 note-taker. The teacher
will need to deliver a PowerPoint presentation that corresponds with the 2.2 packet.
